Hi Guys,
Just left Lado Gear website and saw this!!! Link below!!
http://www.lado-tech.net/en/e-doors/...door-20mm.html
This look like a good way to open and close the gear doors on the Cessna 310!!
Take a look and see what you think!!

wow thats actually pretty cool Sonny.
little bit more pricey than air cylinders.
Gonna be wrapping my spinners in Carbon fiber Di-noc vinyl wrap. I'll take some pics when I'm done

Hello Bruno,
Unfortunately the "lower nacelle covers" are not sold (and they are not included when you buy new nacelles or a set of wings).
The only thing that you could do is to make a mold from the other one to create a new one.

Does everybody think that reinforcing the wing is essential? I am ready to maiden my 310 but I am nervous about it. I wonder if there are more people who have made the modification or more people who have flown it successfully without reinforcement. I sure would appreciate hearing.

i reinforced mine with the carbon rods...i highly recommend it...there are plenty of different ways to reinforce the wings it pretty much is up to you on your method of doing this.

Hi Guys,
Well after months of putting it off, the gear doors are in and working like a dream!!! It is so sweet to see the main gear open, and the gear go in and 3 sec later the gear doors close. Flip the gear switch down, the doors open and out come the gear, 3 sec later the doors close back. One thing I did find out, if the door tank leak air, the main gears will kick the doors open!!!
Looks like the full scale on take-off!!!

Thats awesome Sonny!!!!
I can't wait to get mine all together....by the way whats the weight on everyone's 310...I weighted mine with only servos in and wings together and it came out to be 22-23lbs and thats without radio equipment landing gear and batteries. is mine already over weight??

With 2 air tank and a 6v battery for the receiver, my 310 tip the scale at 22.2 lbs ready to fly. Now the next mod I will do is the rods in the wings like people had done in this thread. As you may can tell, this bird has yet to be maiden, but that will be done this year!!

I don't know how I did it. I put it on the scale three times and it came out at 22.2 lbs.!!! I just put it back on the scale after the gear doors are on and she come in at 23 lbs on the nose. Looking at the manual, I am over weight. The manual call for weight between 17 to 20 lbs. This weekend I will do the mods on the wings. Got to find a club with a pave strip to fly her. My club field is grass with a 300 feet runway.

Guys;
I have one quick question about the carbon rod mod, people are doing. I have the 18" drill bit and the rods on hand. The trailing edge rod is easy, but, the leading edge one I have a question on. Looking back at the pictures of people who did this, but unclear of the spot. Now do I go just in front of the wing tube, or get close the the leading edge as I can. If anyone has a picture of the wing root would be a big help!!!
Thanks for any input!!!

I also have this plane still in the box. I would be interested in the carbon mat fix too. I have read about filling the wing with spray foam, but this seems much easier.

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted
...foam is heavy...messy....and u still have to repair bottom of wing when done...it does work i understand....u can also use carbon strip which might be easier to obtain at lhs...
