I don't think that's a "new model". I think it's been out for a while now. ??? I bought mine here in Canada back in November.

You could be right,
but you gotta ask why are these so readily available now, when a while back they could not be had.

I know that this thread is supposed to be about the EP Blizzard, but I would like to ask a couple of questions to any of the guys who read this thread and run the nitro version:
I've read the thread from start to finish over the last few days trying to pick up hints and tips and I remember someone mentioned that someone they knew was going to attempt to fit a .21 to their Blizzard.

Stick with a small block engine. Big blocks need more room in every sense, something which is scarse in the Blizzard. Not only might its taller cooling head come too close to ceiling (creating heat issues), it will also require a reworked exhaust system in order to breathe properly.
I still run mine with an old Kyosho GS-15R engine. I have had it for five yers now. The only time it might lack revs is when I drive in real deed powder snow. Torque has never been an issie, thanks to the gearing. And you will not get more revs with a typical 21-class engine, that you will only get from a small block racing engine. If you want more speed get a better 12/15/18 class engine. Preferably an O.S. engine and not something from Traxxas and Kyosho as those are low-cost, low-performance engines. Keep in mind that those are included to get people started at a reasonable cost rather than getting the most out of them. Get a proper racing engine and you will get loads more power without a higher fuel consumption.
The drivetrain's durability is an issue. There are two things to remember. First, always make sure everything is 100 %. Every time you refuel you must check the tension of the drive tracks, drive chains and make sure the QRC-gearbox engages properly and that it changes to second gear. Second, after every run check the forward and reverse gears. Make sure the metal pins are intact and in place. Otherwise you will trash the gears on your next outing.
theLane, you may ask any price for your Blizzard. But unless it is the first generation Blizzard DX you will never get USD 400 for a used model that costs around USD 320 to purchase new.
Swedish company ArtAttack made RC snowmobiles already in the late 1980s. They surface every now and then on eBay and various trading sections. I do think they are still around, however production levels are low.
And finally, a recent photo of mine from my last outing the other week.

I really do not care much for this thread as there is so much noise in it and very few proper contributions. A few threads down there is another (older) Blizzard thread with a higher ratio of meaningfull posts rather than the ''Hey-I-have-nothing-to-say-but-I-like-to-see-my-own-posts'' attitude that rules here. In all honesty, this thread is more like a chat room than a forum. I do not think I am the only one who would post more often here if we all tried to think abot what we post. In order for this post to be a contribution rather than wining about the level of the thread, here goes:

I think the problem might be that only 5 of us own one running, 10 own a broken one that they can't find parts for and the other 3 people are busy out enjoying it. Oh, not to mention that it doesn't seem that they sell them anymore.

Keep it up though guys. The only way to attract new guys to the Blizzard is for the old guys to hype it up! I'm interested in getting on some time in the future. I've got too many project right now, but a Blizzard is to come. Has anyone thought of putting one of those small diesel motors in it for more torque and more scale smell and sound? Would be a fun project.

That would be cool. What diesel engine is it that you are talking about? I'd like to see that. Is it expensive?
