Hey guys I need some help. I'm getting uncommanded inputs. What happens is: I turn the radio on and wait till the light turns purple. Then I connect the helicopter's battery to the ECS. As soon as the connection is made all the servos start moving up and down to include the tail servo; and they don't stop until I disconnect the ECS and battery. I've checked the radio to ensure all switches and knobs are set right. I have even taken the helicopter to the middle of no where to see if I'm picking up another signal. I don't know what to do can anyone help me please.

Hitec 65 are an excellent investment. They have karbonite gears which are resistant to stripping. You could go 55's but go 55's again because the POTs and gears are fragile. 56's are nice but they are not as good as the 65 for 5 dollars more. CH47Doc, If your receiver is bad I have one for cheap w/ a deans antenna PM if you are interested. Have a couple of modded Z shape holders too and other walkera cnc stuff (60 head and tail) 288 carbon blades and parts taking up room in the flight box.

Anyone with help, (W37)
I'm new of course, got my heli up and crashed. Found this thread and got tons of information. Plan on doing upgrades but I figure I'll crash a few times first and earn my keep. I got new parts and she just doesn't have the lift as before. I tethered it to the table and after playing with the pitch got her to pull like it would lift like no tomorrow, stable even, I held the training balls off the table while tied down. Then I decide to bring it outside with no change and all it will do is spin up and barely get enough lift to turn direction or lean. It will throttle up like crazy and sounds like something but won't get the lift needed. At about 60-70% sounds smooth but no lift. When I add more throttle the sound of the blades change to a deep wooo-wooo-wooo sound. Is this too much pitch?
Now, the glitches as mentioned many times in this thread, twice it has throttled up uncontrollably with no input from my TX. Plug it in and gyro initializes and then ZOOOM! Was kinda scary second time, I had just tied it down for a test (been testing on and off all day no problems) when it did it the second time.
My questions are:
Is this just glitches or is something burning up that I need to change before it costs me?
The pitch gauge, there is so much play between the main rotors and the flybar how can you accurately measure? Do you hold the flybar up? Everyone's videos of their W37's in this forum move exactly as mine does.
Hoping for some info on this and I hope this helps me and some others out.
Thanks,
DRhodesWS
PS. Sorry for being long-winded.

W37, do you plan on putting any of your tested and flown helis on your ebay site? I'm interested if so.

Thanks for the help guys. I finally brought a Futaba 6EX radio and receiver. The guys at the local hobby shop tested the new radio and it work fine with the DF37. I do have one question; the gyro is very sensitive how do I turn it down a notch? Can anyone tell me how to set the servos up with the new radio? (How much pitch in the blade do I need)

if the gyro sensitivity lead is hooked up to the GEAR channel,
all you do is bring down the value for that channel.
On my DX6 I have 55% . with the w007 Gyro

I took the swashplate from the DF60 upgrade and modified it for my Df37. The installed 450 size ball linkages to use with aligns metal
head parts, like the mixers and washout pieces. I have one availabe if you want it.. its not pretty, but it does the job. I'll post a pic.

Hey does anyone know for sure if the 37 is still being made by Walkera? I spoke with someone at RCANDME who said it is still being made. They are waiting for more 37s.

Did I read correctly that the HS-55 doesnt work with the stock #37 gyro? Ive moved the rudder servo to the tail boom(pix coming soon) and replaced with the walkera 7.6g high speed servo, and it doesn't seem any faster. Ive also got to chase out a little tail wag/drift problem, but I think that was already covered in this thread. These things sure are addicting
Anyone shopping for a spektrum dx6 should check out www.toddsmodels.com, he's got a great price on the kit ($165US)which includes the Tx(w/battery and charger), Rx, and 4 s75 servos, tho he says out of stock until late Sept/early Oct.[8D]

I'm about to switch back to the plastic head cause im having issues with the 60 head and the random twitching i get from the electronics. Im leaning to buy an ESky belt. A little advanced for me but i think ill grow into it. I noticed that with the 60 head on the 37 makes ror real sensitive sticks. Almost too sensitive.

HI there
Yes I have same sensitive problem after upgrade to 60 cnc , try to reduce a bit the servo pitch travel.(v2) mine is set around 1'oclock and the heli fly nice, I notice that battery get a little hot but it fly well ,no glitch, the esky belt RTF is nice heli and very atractive price. maybe I will get one next month. the blackhawk is other option I see.

Hello all,
I just purchased a 37 and have a few questions. First is this Heli as much like a Trex as I think?
The head is completely different from my 36 and the frame is of course different but are they like a Trex or something else?
I got to looking at it last night and I think that I am going to change the tail to a Trex 450xl setup. Will this work? Has this been done?
Thanks in advance,
Huey

Yes they are similar to the trex heli's. You will find that the standard rotor head has some unfixable binding due to the mixing arms. You may want to look for an upgrade. Trex tails and rotors will fit with a little modding. CopterX stuff will fit on as well. If you read through this post (64pages) you will find all the mods people have done to their df37's. However, if upgrading the rotor head, your stick inputs become very very sensitive, for my heli 1mm stick movement in any direction will be more than enough to control the heli. hope this helped

Hello Rody,
Thank you for your reply, I got the 37 running tonight and I see what you mean about the head binding. Is this caused by how the mixing arms attach to swash plate or something else?
Also do you upgrade the arms or change the whole head?
Thanks again,
Huey

Yeah the design in the mixing arms sux so at 60% and over throtle, the mixing arms bind and the heli gets unstable(directional). Well the pushrods that go to the swash will need to be longer(arms from a DF76) and.......the plastic hollow links that snap on the the DF60 swash need to be off a DF60 because the balls are smaller on the DF60 swash.
After I did this mod I relized you should be able to fit a DF36 aluminium head on, which may acually be a better head for the upgrade due to the 36 head using different mixing arms again. The main shaft of my 37 needed some grinding to lower the shaft down as to allow the head to opperate properly.
A little fidlly.
Hope this helped
