Can you post pics of the bottoms of the wings for the various color schemes (I personally don't care about the flame, but I'm sure someone else does).
I am most interested in the Red/Black.
Thanks.
EDIT: Also, what drop for the headers w/ a DA-150. Thanks again.

Thanks Tom.
I'll be giving you a call soon to place my order... I just found a guy selling headers so I wanted to grab some while I could.
Which scheme is easiest to see in the air?
Also... I plan on placing an order for all the misc stuff I'll need... what are you using for the rudder control horn? 8-32?
Thanks

Here is a link to a shakey video I did of mine. No music or anything. Couldn't find anything that went with it easily and didn't feel like spending the time on it.

Tom, the 41% looks real nice. I was highly impressed with what I saw recently at Sherman. Just a few questions to get my thinking/calculating juices flowing. Exactly what is the distance form the tailwheel itself to the (front) axles; what is the total distance from the widest part of the rudder to the tip of the spinner; what is the distance from stab tip to stab tip assembled on the plane; and what is the height of the plane from the tail wheel to rudder tip?
Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
Bobby

Fuse length from the fin (not the rudder) to the front face of the cowl is 98". The big rudder is 13.25" long for a total of 111.25. With the small rudder which is 11" long it's 109".
Total length will depend on your spinner, standard would be another 5" for a grad total of either 114" or 116.25" depending on which rudder you select.
Stab width is 48". Rudder height is 23.5, allow another 2-3 inches for a tailwheel.
Tailwheel to front axles will be about 85".
I hope it fits.

It snaps fine, nothing special or magic about it. There are a couple of them flying in unlimited now including Bill Hempel who is at the masters right now with one. All they ever do is snaps so that should tell you something.
BTW the next batch will have sheeted foam wings with several performance improvements including a slightly different airfoil, the same one we used on the improved 35% Extras that were so popular.

Thanks Tom. I knew that plane was big but without knowing what the measurements were it was hard to tell just how large it really is. Unfortunately if won't fit in my workshop!! I guess I'll have to pass for now, but thank you for taking the time to measure and send me the data.

Hey Bobby maybe it's time to upgrade your workshop???

The competition is going to be ferocious with all the 40% planes, go on and bite the bullet.[:@]
Happy landings,

I'm in the same boat. Mine is ready, just need a good day, and a helper of two. Have been building a box add on to fit the back of my pickup so the beast will fit.
Hope to have good news after the weekend, weather and friends wiling.

Whoo Hoo. Got 3 flights on mine today.
Almost 0 rudder/elevator coupling, although a slight amount of rudder/ail coupling only on 1 direction.
The plane flew extremely "LIGHT" and actually took off at 1/4 throttle in less than 10 feet.
Snaps were predictable and stopped when they were supposed to for the most part. My engine had outside push issues so can't report on anything outside.
Over all, I am extremely pleased. Thanx Tom. Great plane!!

What. Our little itty bitty landing patch!!!! Is only 10000 ft long and 175 ft wide. Actually, the second flight my engine died after an outside push and landed 100 yds down the way without any problem.

On the flip side it does make emergent landing at other fields a little nerve wracking.

Hey Tom.
How much play should be in the elevators with the carbon rod hinges?
Checking them out this morning both elevators have almost 1/8" play fore/aft, and up/down on the outside hinge closest to the counterbalance. Should I be concerned or has anyone else had problems??
Thanx
