A new 260! Sweet. DA 100 size even more perfect. I am sick of the Yak thing really am. I had one of the "best" yaks and was completely not impressed. The nice thing about Extra, Edges and Caps is they are a versatile airframe. The Extra is really a jack of all trades. What I enjoyed and still enjoy about an Extra over a Yak is the ability to speed it up for 3D. It seems to recover and respond faster than most all the Yak's I have flown.

From the videos I have seen the 35% Extra flies exactly like the 41%. If you put a 3W106 or BME 115 in that size airframe I can imagine even more ballistic performance. Much more bang for the buck and a plane that flies just as well.

That doesn't really make sense. you should be flying slower with more power for 3d

Another engine option should be available about the same time as the new planes. The 3MM 114 twin is coming very soon, lighter than a 3w or DA twin bu about a half pound and makes power like the BME, but has plenty of cooling and should be very durable and relatively inexpensive.

No, sorry. Maybe next time.

I'm still looking for a good 26cc size engine for the smaller planes. I'm testing one now that's quite good, if it holds up then I may devote more attention to the 25% scale group.
