Welcome to Club SAITO !
I reckon the doctor who slapped your mother when you popped out should have popped you back in and sewed it up with the finest suture thread available.Apart from that how you been mate?
Imagine a Saito 100 turning at that speed. Woof, that thing was screaming. Had a MAS 14x6 on it. I set the limit of travel on my radio to prevent it from exceeding 9K until I was able to get a good 14x8 for it.

If memory serves it was Car & Driver magazine. A local salvage yard had about 8 with crunched quarter panels, it was cheaper to replace the car than have a reputable body shop rebuild the car. I had a friend working there he told me he had never sold a part off one of them and the yard crushed them and sold them for scrap.

I have CR and I would say your experience is in the minority. Overall the Yugo was a failure. If it had not failed it could have been a big success in countries like India and on the continent of Africa where there was and still is a big demand for an inexpensive car.

I have a Saito 100 on a 90" Cub that was built on a heavy side. I flew it with a 15x6 but it was sluggish so I put a 14x6 and it for very nice. My question is will the 14x6 over rev the engine ? I my scale usually 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. My only other choice is a 14x8 any opinions would be appreciated.
ANY opinions..? just kidding.Three quarter throttle is nearly max rpm so you might,my 82's pull around 9000 on the ground with an apc 14x6.You don't say what prop you are using but if it's a graupner(grey)that would put a smile on dave's face.Plastic or wood they are very easy to trim and test your rpm with a tacho,i think a 14x6 is too small for the 100 and a 14x8 will give you more than scale speed for a cub.Maybe a 15x6 trimmed to 14 and a half might do the trick.
ps okc that mdx looks like a supermodel compared to what i had in mind...

Yep, the 14x6 is too small for the 1.00, I don't even know why it's on the list
Maybe a perfect prop

When I was growing up in western Pa. International pickups were known as Binders, I guess it was because of their being associated with Farm Equipment. Farmall tractors actually rode better than the pick ups did.

You got that right we called them binders too as well as Ihops. The "IH" emblem on the front reminded us of the pancake house. I once tried to talk an old farmer out of his 1946 International pickup he was still using on the farm. It was over 30 years old, all original, and still going strong. The downside was it had a top speed of about 35 mph. They geared them for torque and pulling power not for speed in those days.
Thank you barry we had a rush to finish it for a display at this weekends round of our aussie v8 supercars by the harley distributer here.I was flat out polishing the street bobber and last i saw it was disappearing onto a truck and heading for the circuit. One of the guys sent me a pic taken with his phone(you would'nt say that 20 years ago)and it's real average. If i can get hold of a better one than this i'll post it cheers
ps notice the large hammer on the workbench..an absolute MUST when working on a harley if you have a short fuse, kinda feels nice too the bike has no miles on it yet but i guess the non standard pipes don't affect warranty, bloody would if i was riding it.

No worries mate if we both get old and senile enough to think about racking up huge miles cruising on a full dresser harley give me a huge slap willya?
Okc the woodgrain pattern is half hydro dipping half sharp point textures and a little airbrush, nice warm colours eh? not sure about the white footpeg rubbers tho.Retro is going to last as long as art deco did i hope, which is part of that anyway.

We called IH Scouts "Binders" also. Here is a pic of a nicely restored one at a local bistro:

BTW that Saito 72 I picked up last year and put in my Something Extra is running super sweet. No more dead sticks like I had with the OS. Though I did switch radios, so not sure if that was the issue. I flew yesterday with 15MPH winds, and it was a blast to have the plane just hang in front of me 15' off the ground like a Harrier. I would have flown more than 6 minutes had the sun not be blinding me in the left eye. I also found the Saito uses far less fuel than the OS did. I think that pretty much confirms that from now on, only Saitos will be in my planes, so if I come across another 56/72, I will swap out the OS 52 on my LT-40. I have 3 new Magnum 91FS on the shelf, going to trade one for a Saito 82, then find a home for it. It's a bit too big for the LT-40 though.
Speaking of Sales, too bad I don't have the money, that FG57 would be perfect for the new SIG Rascal 168. I don't know when they will be produced, but have one on order. Hopefully when I di get it, and have it ready for an engine the 57 will still be available and on sale.

Thanks Richard, we never had an H, we had a Super C', later a 230, same as Super C, two Super M's, one gas one Diesel and this 560 Diesel. My cousin had an IH Scout with half of a V-8 that was turbo charged.
