RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

No doubt these small gassers are the future for those of us in the hobby that still like making noise, but despite what a previous poster suggested, DA can't possibly compete with these engine...

RE: evolution engines?

Here's my .02 cents worth. Keep in mind I'm a natural born cynic (and an aerospace engineer) so you've been warned.

To say that Evo's are just rebadged MVVS's is incorrect in my opinion. The...

RE: Looking for 50cc 3D monster? Suggestions?

Have you considered the Diaboltin XL from Top Models I believe, imported by:

http://www.espritmodel.com/ ??

Very light wingloading, decent price, very good finish quality. It has similar...

RE: New Futaba 9C Synth Module

You hit the nail on the head hilleyja--I routinely plug my father's Hitec Spectra into my 9C's frequency module's place to fly his aircraft with no-ill effects. The only problem with this is the unit...

RE: Epsilon - fact or fiction?

Here is the story as far as I know it: One container was due in before April 1st for Toledo--not sure if this was to replenish previous orders or what. Yes, a second container was due April 10th and...

RE: CA Models 40 Size Epsilon

Yeah, that conifrms everything I've already heard. Not good. I've called to get my money back and but I keep getting the runaround--saying they're having problems with the Paypal account and BS like...

RE: CA Models 40 Size Epsilon

Thanks blwblw, unfortunately the Epsilon isn't going to happen for me. I talked to Rocco at Toledo and he said that the boat containing new models as well as customer backorders is due April 10th,...

RE: CA Models 40 Size Epsilon

Thanks for the info blwblw, I'll have to invesitgate further. I'm headed for Toledo tomorrow so I should be able to ask Rocco in person. I've had my money on the table for sometime so if no Epsilon...

RE: CA Models 40 Size Epsilon

So just to clarify even the second container with Epsilon's is due by April 1st? I've had my Epsilon 60 on order since January and it'd be nice to know there's a light at the end of the tunnel!

RE: CA Models 40 Size Epsilon

I also ordered my Epsilon through Pattern Proz / Russ Honea. He was very helpful when discussing the Epsilon. As far as I understand it, CA is shipping all of their kits directly to Aeroworks and...

RE: CA Models 40 Size Epsilon

I spoke with Marcelo at CA Models a few days ago via email as I am currently waiting for an Epsilon 60. The most recent batch of airplanes to get on the boat for the trip to the USA was delayed...

RE: Futaba T14MZ price is posted at Tower

Bottom line: If all the mixes of your 9C or 9303 still doesn't make your plane fly straight, you'd be better off spending the $2200 on a new plane instead of a 14zap.

RE: Chip Hyde Extra and Planes plus Extra. Same planes?

Looks to me like Planes Plus may be taking the CA Model's Extra from kit or ARC form and finishing them to a higher level of completion--they all have that CA trademark of a huge vertical stab...

RE: Ultra-RC Icepoint Anyone Hear?

This aircraft looks verryyyy similar to a Hirobo Stream, especially the cowl and underbelly.

Perhaps its a Hirobo renamed or the design rights have been sold off to a different company ??

RE: Wild hare extra horiz stab problem

I had an Edge from the first patch of planes and unless something has radically changed since then, they are total and complete junk. The stab was badly out of level--tip to tip, it was 1.5" out of...

RE: What's gonna be your Fall project?

WILD HARE R/C 28% EDGE

Still undecided on engine choice...hoping the DA-75 becomes a reality soon. If it's anything like it's big sisters Extra & Giles this plane will be a HUGE SUCCESS....

YS 1.40 Sport Figures

All readings were taken with a Tower Hobbies (Hobbico) tachometer. Fuel used was Powermaster YS 20/20, OS #F plug. Temp was in the mid 70's, humidity in the mid 30's, southeast Michigan elevation....

....Since it's sitting in my living room anyway. I could see your point with coupling being a problem--the fuselage is lacking in the 'tallness' area as well as vertical stab area, which may cause...

SIG ARF planes- too expensive

Sig ARFS are a little pricey--but they are worth it. They often times come with Dubro and/or Sullivan hardware most of which can actually be used. (Though they still insist on cheesy plastic...

Hirobo Stream 50

Hi everyone. Anybody out there have any experience with the Stream 50 from Hirobo? Does it use pull-pull on the rudder, are the retracts reasonably strong, how much does your completed plane weigh?...
