RE: What prop of a PJS 3D 800 with 2 cell pack?

Hi Smokey,
I run a Nippy 1812/100 which I believe is very close to your PJS. I typically run from a 12x6 to 13x6.5 prop depending on what type of flying I'm doing. I run 2 cell tp 1900 and 2100's...

RE: how did this happen

You may want to upgrade to a 15+ amp controller. The 300 motors don't last too long, and if they fail your esc may see an amp spike which can easily fry the smaller controller. My original 8 amp esc...

RE: BRUSHLESS MOTORS-Whats good-Whats pure junk

I have tried the himax inrunners... the third warranty replacement just threw the magnet. Stay away from them. Had a PJS 800 outrunner. Brand new the magnets were rubbing the poles. However the 1812...

Speed 400 on a Slow stick?

A standard speed 400 also hardly has enough power to fly a SS. However, GWS's 400 motor & gearbox works pretty well. It is heavier though, and does pull a little more battery power. Go for the "F"...

Slow stick 3000mah battery?

Ok, lets try this again. Has anyone actually tried it? If you haven't, please don't respond.

Flight Pack for Slow Stick?

If possible, get a speed control rated for 10 amps. It may save a later upgrade. Also slide your wing to the rear until you get proper balance at 95mm from the leading edge of the wing. This makes...

Slow stick 3000mah battery?

FYI, The sub c's test out @ 1.16 /cell at a 30 amp load. mwhr's of 2950 to 3050. I was thinking of going to a 12 x 8 prop and seeing what it will do.

Slow stick 3000mah battery?

Just wondering if anyone has actually tried it. The speedo shouldn't cut out until a little under 5 volts. The sub c's should easily hold voltage above that until almost full discharge. They are...

Slow stick 3000mah battery?

Hi all,
I am wondering how a 5 cell sub c 3000 panasonic matched pack would work. Threads I've read are saying about 10 oz max for a battery, and 5 of these would make it. I'm assuming that the...

Slow stick CG moving

Thanks for the reply. I ended up putting very small screws through the wing and servo mounts to keep them in place. Had great luck flying once my COG and trims stayed put. Unfortunately there is a...

Anyone have suggestions on how to keep the plastic wing/servo mounts from sliding on a rough landing?

question about ESC & Motor making high pitch sound

You were pretty much right when you said "speaker". The high frequency speed controls chop the current at a very highrate, and kind of turn your motor into a speaker. You don't hear it as much as...

Dynamite rocket racers

It is a pistol type radio with changeable crystals, adjustable steering rate and trims, and basically hobby quality. I'd guess it runs about 8 to 10 mph with 4 cells.

Dynamite rocket racers

Fully proportional steering and electronic speed control. Great value for $50 on e-hobbies. Runs for 30 to 40 minutes on a set of 4 AAA alkalines, but can be made a LOT faster.

Dynamite rocket racers

I bought some model car tires that I found scouring the local hobby shop. They are 1 5/16" outside diameter and fit tightly on the rear rims. If you wrap about 3 turns of narrow electrical tape...

Dynamite rocket racers

I,ve got the NSX with a 6 cell NI-MH battery set, oversize rear tires, and the rear tires moved to the front. It is WAY faster than stock. :D

Rocket Racer upgrades

Hi Vonster,
I just upgraded my Rocket. If you remove the AAA battery tray, you can easily fit 5 ni-cad or ni-mh cells side by side in the original batt. area. I simply double side taped my batts...
