Hi Kevin

In my Candace which is the same I am sure,I cut a slot and glued the horn in from the back. Then filled in so it will not come out. It works fine.

Nelson Long stroke muffler on a short stroke Q40 motor

I have been running Nelson short stroke in Q40 and have heard that you can get increased performance out of a short stroke by running the long stroke muffler and prop the motor like a long stroke...

I have been using 7.4x8 and 7.4x7.8's I did buy a couple of 7.4x7.81's that I will run and see how they do. I ran one up on the ground to 23k.

Take that long stroke out of the bag...

I have used them in both Q500 and Q40 on aileron and elevator. I Have them in a Polecat and a Foxy Lady and not had any problems with them. It appears to me that they like 6 volts better...

Try this link and look at updates 153 to 157. It is all about creating a joggle for a clean strong joint between 2 halves. This example is for a wing but the same principle applies.

1/8" weldable rod from Canadian Tire. Just bought 2- 3 foot lengths today for $1.99 each. I have done the crisco and epoxy thing but now use aluminum tubing. It adds next to nothing...
