RE: Throttle to Rudder Rate mix

Typically I've used the ChanX->ChanX mix trick to turn a channel off, by programming the mix curve to be "flat" across the entire stick travel. I've only used this trick to disable the throttle on...

RE: Throttle to Rudder Rate mix

Interesting. When I did RUD->RUD, I could not get the VR to work as the OP described. However, by doing the RUD->AUX1, it did perform as noted above. Further, I was able to use point curves or expo...

RE: Throttle to Rudder Rate mix

The Futaba 12FG is extremely flexible. And yes, you can add non-linear responses via different expo curves or 17 point curves. You can also use the "virtual" channels if you want to do some fancy...

RE: Throttle to Rudder Rate mix

Hi 'Side.

If I understand your question properly, you can do it on the Futaba 12FG, so I am pretty sure you can do it on the 12Z, 14MZ, and the 18MZ.

What I did... I mixed Rudder to an AUX...

RE: JetiDuplex vs. FASST vs. Hott : any suggestion ?

Wow! Thanks, Mike.

I like the full-featured data-logging capability. The built-in gyros sound interesting due to my involvement with non-standard flying things.

Thanks again... Roger

RE: JetiDuplex vs. FASST vs. Hott : any suggestion ?

Hi luv2flyrc.

I've always heard good things about Weatronic, and looked at their site... but did not see a lot more functionality than the other high-end Fut or JR gear offers, so obviously I'm...

RE: Help with My First Purchase

Hi CPT Ozzy.

If I suddenly found myself having to start over, and in an environment that limited the size of my aircraft to micro/mini fixed and rotary wing... I'd go with Spektrum. And probably...

RE: Glider mode on JR X9503 vs DX8

I bought the DX8 last year as a glider radio - even though it didn't have a specific Glider mode. However, the thing that got me was that - while in Airplane Mode - the L.Trim and R.Trim values were...

RE: Help: how to set DX7 heli mode for plane

Hey Zor... What part of your previous post had ANYTHING to do with Bill's question regarding Rudder / Ail mixing?

I'm sure Bill appreciated that you "cared" enough to reply ... but I bet he...

RE: Futaba 8FGS vs DX8 Programming

Hi Andy. I need to be bit more specific. On page 17, the manual states:

"Rotate the roller to highlight Trim Type and press to access.
Select F-Mode (each flight mode has its own trims) or...

RE: Futaba 8FGS vs DX8 Programming

If the DX8 does everything you need, you will find the 8FGS to be an overkill. My everyday TX is a Futaba 12FG.

I had the DX8 last year and from a programming perspective, found it limiting. On...

RE: New Hitec Aurora 9-Channel 2.4Ghz Radio System

Frankly... A.T., BuschBarber, and AEEJR (SP? Ed Andersen, anyway..) are the posts that I find most informative - though of course there are MANY people with good knowledge and willing to share...

NIB Venus II

Hey guys... I bought a Venus II several years ago at my LHS with the intent of getting into pattern.

Instead, I got into sailplanes and never built the plane.

I did, however, complete Step...

RE: What's wrong with RCU

Since RCU was taken over a while back, the site has taken a dramatic turn for the worse. I rarely come here anymore, in favor of the "other" site.

Keep it up, new owners, and maybe you will lose...

RE: Futaba 12FG or 10CAG???

What radio are you using now?

I went from a Futaba Super 7 UAPS to a 9C Super, to a 12FG.

From a feature and programming perspective, the 9C and 10C are pretty much the same... but the 12FG...

RE: DX8 question: How can I get it to save the left and right trims?

At least in aero mode, L and R trims are not saved. The other trims are.

RE: Slowing down after landing

I have a 40 size Pulse XT that used to land a bit hot, even though I've adjusted the CG.

I ended up programming the radio (Futaba 12FG) to drop the flaperons about 5 degrees on approach. This...

RE: New to sailplanes

Hi there.... I have both Radians.

Both fly nice... But for shear relaxation and not having to move the sticks much, nothing beats the standard Radian at 1,000 lazily hunting for thermals. I...

RE: Disappointed in RC Advancement Over Last 20 Years

I tend to side with 'six on this one... When I left R/C in '91 (work/family/you know the drill), my radio was a Futaba Super 7. Getting back into R/C in 2007, I found most radios still had the same...

RE: 500 Dollars how to pick a radio

Hi Rayzer,

Crow? Strip Ailerons? Sounds like you are flying sailplanes.

If that's the case - for the money you really can't beat picking up a Futaba 9CAPS (used) and getting a 2.4 module,...

RE: DX8 question: How can I get it to save the left and right trims?

Nope... Nothing to hide that I'm aware of. If Andy wants to post (for lack of a better term) a "blow-by-blow" account of how we work this out, that's his call.

I just figured that the less I put...
