RE: Xl engine conversion query

I think a fourstroke in a Savage XL would be AWESOME! You would have to re-gear for sure to compensate for the lower RPM, but it would have the grunt that could handle it. Why hasn't four strokes...

RE: Savage SS having the turn radius of a whale...

Also, there is some trimming you can do to your knuckle that allows you to have more throw. That might help as well.

RE: Crossing over to the dark side

That's fine, you are from CANADA, so..........:D Just messing with ya.

What I really was trying to say was buy the XL, not the SS or 4.6. I didn't mean buy the actual 5.9 motor.

RE: any one here into short course trucks ? Check out HPI's latest

I should have clarified actually, that a HOT brushless set up in a SLASH would be Extremely difficult to race well. It all really depends on motor Kv and Battery Voltage, as well as gearing and diff...

RE: any one here into short course trucks ? Check out HPI's latest

RE: Crossing over to the dark side

What I love most about the XL beyond its toughness is that if you do break it, its so easy to work on. It comes apart in modules and relatively simple, especially in comparison to the Revo.

RE: Crossing over to the dark side

I think you mean you are crossing over FROM the dark side. Get the 5.9 you will love it. Hands down 10x better Basher than any Traxxas product ever thought about being.

RE: MY IRC EXTENDED LCG CHASSIS + MID TANK KIT + LST SKOCK BUILD

Excellent work and choice of parts, that is a great looking truck. I also love that steering / rx set up. I too would say the only thing I would ditch would be the Losi shocks.
