I remember taking evasive action a few times and that pic doesnt surprise me . well done Steve....
Im afraid I didnt handle the eggbeater / fixed wing combo very well...... the noise was enough to put me off !

in the e-power slot it was noticable that the electric heli was much louder than the C140 E and the C50 E, and quite frankly sounded horrible.
I was really impressed by the electric capiches, the noise (or lack of it) really suited the Capiches. Torque rolling with just a gentle hum sound was great. The performance of the electric 50 was something else !
I also thought those electric powered gliders from West London models ???? were amazing.

Dave really has got the 140 dialed in nice and he's certainly getting used to it.. I dare anyone to say they are not impressed.
The 50 is still a bit of a hot potato.... Ive got too much pitch at the moment, and too much power in the bottom half of the stick.. Now we are back from Sandown time can hopefully be taken to improve the set up before we set off for the French Trip in 3 weeks. Nearest most suitable prop in the APC- E range I can see is a 13.5x6, but I would have preferred to keep the 14" dia and go 5" pitch if I could...may have to look at other makes.
The point is that there is more than enough grunt, and the weight is good, so its just a matter of me setting it up properly.
Expect to pick up my 140 this weekend to start the install and covering ! Workshop got cleared tonight ready !
Trouble is all our 140's have been sold.... so I might have to put my old faithful 120 in until the 160's arrive !

yeah right - bound to be the sim at fault then...
I must say you have a point though edible... Its important to feel people you have not seen in action are not impressive and even more so to make it known !
You are one shrewd dude !

The jet in the sim flew at 40 Mph full power, looks like they are making park flyer jets. The german man was very rude as well.
But anyway, I got the whole C140 on video, the IC one mind, I did see dave leaving the hall with the leccy on his shoulder for the flightline but I had things to attend to.
It seems very nice, I like the way the pilot entered the rolling circle straight after take off. It seemed very floaty for its size, very floaty indeed, which means lightness, which is a good thing!
Interesting to see how it compares to Adrenaline number 1 which flys at my field. I almost got hit by that Adrenaline today.

wow, that made no sence. its prob me tho. no honest, this guy in the XTR stand didnt have a clue how to calerbrte the transmitter and to set it um with neg pitch, then when i finally did it it was reverced. he said he helped design it. I was actually looing forward to seeing dave fly his leccy C140, as i didnt even see it at the freestyle comp, i just hought to myself ive got 1/2 hour toill the slot, ill pop overto have a go on the sim, then i came out he was wheeling it back.

it's ok Eddy, your quite right, Dave's a rubbish flyer, worse i've ever seen.
oh, wait, no i have seen him fly, so i'll reserve my judgement

or just visit apple.com and download from there... easy enough.
We have some video of 140 at Sandown.... needs reviewing and trf to digi.
covered a 140 wing panel tonight.. dont think I like it...but hopefully the graphics and addition of the aileron will improve it...
forgotton how much I enjoy covering..... not ! - Last one I did was the 50e and that was 12 months ago !!

Its easy. The adaptec Videoh! media centre is around 120 quid and allows you to convert vhs to digital to burn to a dvd or play on a pc.
just plug it in to a spare usb port

Its 12 years old. Its huge and fat. I have no idea, I'll look but I doubt it, though for its age it works VERY well. Thats why we still use it. I know there are VHS conversion thingies, I've seen them.
