Saito 125 - my rudder servo is in the tail. It balanced perfectly with the battery and regulator under the wingtube and the RX next to the throttle servo.

I mounted mine with the pull/pull. Was easy to balance. I think I have my battery in the rear of the hatch. I'm using the mighty 110. This plane seems to have a very wide CG envelope though. But after my Funtana experience I wasn't taking any chances. Seems either area works just matters where you put the battery. I love the fact that the plane comes with two choices. Very nice.

Hi all,
Now that I finally have my C.G, right, I got 6 flts on the S.T. She does fly nice and lands easy!!
No problems arose this AM... Well I had a bit of tweaking on the YS and she did her thing, Guess
she liked it so well she spit out my muffler tip:-((.... I still have a bit of setup etc.... But she's a
great flyer, tracks good and true... And she lands really easy.... Inverted flt. now takes a bump
every now and then... So I may move the battery back a little... But overall..... I like it!!!!
Landing is a breeze.. And she did not show any problems as yet... She's charging again for the AM

Flew mine again today and love every minute of it. I did find that dead spot though, took off to slow and dipped the right wing. It is not a problem if you let her roll a bit and get some ground speed

Hey David... No SFG's yet..... Got another two flt's this AM, Had to cut it short it's
the "Bosses" B-day......... Man I love the way she flies.... Still have not had any of
the "bad" habits show up..... Hope it stays that way

Guess you ordered your APC 16.5x5W from APC??? I started to order one but the
shipping said $15 for 1 prop???????? So I stopped the order, If you ordered from
APC was your shipping that high???
Also with the 17X4W, It sounds like my YS is turning some R's??? Have not tach'd
it yet... So, I'm not sure abut the 16.5????????

Ron...By my trusty, highly accurate fish scale test the APC 16x6 is the prop that makes the most thrust by over a pound on the 17x4W and 1/4 lb on the 16.5x5. The 17x4W is easy to overspeed.

Thanks Barry and David... I have the 16X6. just have not use it yet... Just thought I also
give the 16.5X5W a try... I do like the plane.. It makes me try to be more precise on the
sticks and I think she looks good in the air:-))
She's on the charger, I may try both the above in the AM.... I was going to put the SFG's
on today, But the other member that likes the low H.A. K.E.'s was flying his F-90... And if
the SFG's does what's said, I may try a 1' pass.... My V2 Kat is still laying in the garage
floor after the last time I tried that:-(

I have to agree...mine is more fun with the SFGs. But them make me very nervous for landings as I fly off of a grass field. Usually quite long grass. I've broken one a couple of times. They are fragile. Oddly enough I found my hard to fly slow enough to do KE with the SFGs. Then I learned to trust the YS better and I can just creep along in high alpha KE and it's pretty cool. I also flet it flatspins better with the SFGs. They really work. But I fly it most without them. Just think they are gimick looking. This is one of the finest KE airplanes with or without the SFGs. Ron, keep us posted to your progress. I'm interested to see if you find the "dead spot". I flew mine 20 ro 25 times before I noticed it and could pin point it. As I flew in more and more situation is when I discovered it. Many have the same problem as me and many do not. It's kinda split that way. Anyways, here's hoping you don't find it. It's kinda lowered my trust leven in the plane.

Hi! My Showtime finally flown the last weekend! It's a great plane!
I'm using the 1.60 FX without problems. I just re-drilled and reinforced the firewall with epoxi and mount all servos in the tail. I don't put yet, but the plane will need some weight in tail.
Anyway, the results are perfect. I can hover with less of 1/3 throttle, and the plane lands light anyway!
I liked that combo very much. No vibration problems too!!!
Here my configuration:
O.S. 160 FX
Perry Pump VP30
J'tec in cowl muffler
Futaba 8UAF sistem
5 Futaba S3305 Servo High-Torque Standard w/Metal Gears
Sanyo 6v 1500 mAh Battery
All alluminuim servo arms are 1.57"
Some pics:

in checking that all is tight?? I hope I asked that correctly... I removed the cowl and all
is tight and looks good, but I can get 1/16/1/32 movement when putting pressure on the
spinner, I thought I read something about that in this thread.. But I could not find it...
maybe next time...the "other pilot" was doing his thing, So thought I better leave them

Raideron, I figured the some thing in my model.
The firewall have a little movement behind the holes in horizontal pressure, but I don't saw nothing with vertical pressure!
Anyway, I think this condition in flight almost never happen and is not a problem.
Maybe theres a little - or none - of those vertical and horizontal movements in flight because the engine pulls the airplane vectorially and the force is distributed of the mount for firewall and it for fuselage.
It is only a consequence of light structure.
The problem is not the firewall crack, but it to unglue of model.
Theres a pic in that forum of a RCU member what had him firewall unglued!!

Well I maidened the ST today, and it flew great. I only got one flight, hoping to have more tomorrow. I only had one problem. I seem to have a fuel tank issue though. After I fill up, fuel starts to run out of the carb line. It doesn't matter what line I fill up with, or whether or not I fill up with the carb line connected or unconnected, it just keeps running out. I have never had a problem like this on any of my planes. I have the tank mounted in the stock position, and a Saito 125 mounted inverted. Would a Cline regulator fix this issue?

Nevermind you said after you fill up. My guess is your tank is higher than your carb and it is siphoning.

Well after I made that post I started thinking, and went down and looked. You got it right Super D, carb is below the centerline of the tank. I can fill up through the carb or the fill up line ( I have three lines, carb, muffler, and fill-up), and if I disconnect the line from the carb and keep it above the engine, the fuel will not run out. If I lower it down to the level of the carb, fuel will start running out of the line. I don't know much about the Cline regulator, or what it does, but will it help this issue? Is there another way to fix this?

Not sure if th ecline would fix it, seems like I've heard it might or maybe something like a uniflow system. I doubt a loop would work on the line going to the carb, on vent lines yes it would.

Fluid seeks its own level. If you make the loop higher than the tank then to the carb it will work. Atleast it worked for me. I am flying a Saito 100, just looked at my setup the fuel line comes out of the tank and loops around then to the carb. I have no syphoning problems

Yes the loop worked. I ended up looping the line around the motor mount, which is right at the same level of the tank. When filling up, the fuel will want to come out, but will stop when it gets to the level of the tank. Thanks for the help guys.
