Think I did two coats. Doesnt take long to dry I think, but not sure. Left it a week between coats anyway.

Make sure it is nice a clean when painting. otherwise doesn't go on well.

RC Colours !

Ohhh I got some of that to try... supposed to match the profilm colours AND be fuel proof...

Its the latter that Im more suspicious about - getting a single pack fuel proof spray....

Does it really work !?

Should I get some more !?

single pack ? nahhh dont think so, not against nitro anyway.

not that I have tried it mind, but from experience of Flair's fuel proofer that comes in a spray can it wont fuel proof against Nitro

RC Colours

If used as it says on the can i.e. applied warm are fuel resistant, used them to spray up my Breitling Cap no sign of fuel damage, I use 10% nitro fully synthetic. Colours match useful trick is if spraying over Pro film or Oracover a wipe with some Prymol increases the adhesion somewhat.

Not had any problems up to 15% nitro. I apply hot by standing the can in a bucket of hot water for 5 mins before using. I have tried to think of a way to heat up the cowl as well, but not succeeded yet.

lol

I built 2 levators yesterday, all i can say is this palne just looks the works!

Snow: i wake up every morning (7:45 on a school day[&o]) to snow and its mostly gone by lunch. Just looking at the weather and it looks like its going to be solid snow for me untill monday. Just imagine nathan in wales! -11 and feet of snow!

So what about my wing sheeting, does it have to pinned and jigged to sheet??????

Archie: What fury is that, my friend got the fury extreme, OS 91 C-spec, Hi torque digis apart from throttle and tail which is a real fast ones, Curtiss power muffler, NHP razors (i think) on the mains, and 50 quid tail blades (nhp i think again). I think the gyro is the CSM 540 aswell, its top of the range basicly. Its amazing tho, you flick throttle hold and you auto, then hover it, powerless, for at least 15-20 seconds, then i just slowly settles onto the deck

Back to C50 talk then

Ian

No snow here in Wimbledon [:'(]. We the only place in the UK to be snow free?[]

Ed, read the instructions. Thing with sheeting is that it sets the wing. Therefore if it is twisted when you put it on, you will get a twisted wing. Therefore make sure the wing is straight when sheeting. Always worth the effort to take time on this step, more than any other.

I got some skis I made about 12! years ago to use on my Moronic( sort of funfly plane of the time). Made out of sheet aluminium with strings on the front and elastic band on the rear up to the fuz to allow them to rotate but keep in place. Taxiing was the best bit, a bit like a hover craft, all sliding about. Flying was horrible, same as normal but on a b****y cold day! Still got the skids, STILL got the plane! What we havent got in sussex is any snow[].
