Your enthusiasm is noted and appreciated Luke...

If you want to talk more on this subject lets take it offline..please email through the capiche site to [email protected]
thanks

Hmmm, I think you REALLY need to get a test kit of the 50 to Ireland, to promote the thing over here....

Hercmate - no my Synergy is not on the bmfa for sale. I think it may just be the case of finding a set up that is right for me and my style/level of flying.
I have all 3D rate programmed to one switch - using the cplr settings scared the s!$*! out of me on both ailerons and rudder....95% expo can't be right.
It has an unbelievably powerful rudder. KE loops are easy.
Malc....can weigh mine but it will probably be the heaviest! I replaced the undercarriage plate with something substantially stronger! With regards to the design the cord at the tips is quiet narrow, the section is pretty thin and sharp at LE edge and I'm sure there must be an airflow effect in rolling manouvres with such a rounded fuz?.
Anyway, Arch sorry mate - I'm talking Synergy on a Capiche thread!

Any testing needed doing in the London/Surrey area? :greedy:
Only kidding. The little Lanier Extra 3.25 is ready for its turn on my building board, and can't imagine such a small plane will take long to build, so looks like I'll be parting with some of my hard earned soon and getting the C50. 90% certain that will be next after the Lanier.
And then, who knows, perhaps the 140 will be available and that will follow on after that. Probably spoil myself, and try some digital servos when I do get it.

No current pics, its dark, but......
it's all covered, no trim tho...
the cowl is cut, the engine and tank installed. all servos in place, setting up the throttle now.
just surfaces to attach with and horns to fix.
think Archies sent some, so if i get them tomorrow, they're going in, if not.. i'll sort something else.
Maybe i can buy a pack if malc brings some with him? can hinge on the field if necessary.
next big job is join the elevator, a carbon rod, with two holes and then two metal rods into the elevator halfs. the best slop free i could come up with the scrap i have here.
i see no reason for it not to fly at the weekend.
might even have time to sort the Maggers out too.
Thanks to all

Rain was a tad hard at 7.30 this morn, stopped now. reports say a few scattered showers. well that aint stopping me
tho after what Jackie said about costs and washouts. ummm
Capiche is going back on the bed ( set up table
) to have all servos connected and sorted. didn't really wanna do the elevator on the field, it's kinda tricky.
come on mr postman, bring me sommit
still wondering how to attach spats, cant use the main bolt, the spat doesnt come down that far
slightly fuzzy pic of the pre trim capiche

here is a very bad drawing for someone else that asked the same quiestion...
basically cut a slot for the bolt that holds the wheel and slide the spat down onto it and tighten up... that way if you do have a bad arrival the spat should twist or come off rather than rip itself to pieces.
works for me...
and easier to fit.

LOL ! yeah probably.
Actualy Im not that bad but this wa done in a hurry for another of the Capiche Team that had not used Spats before...
Ive just been looking for the notes that went with it to explain away the terrible drawing but alas I cant find them...
obviously you need to pull up thenuts to close the gap between spat and leg...
Actually thinking back... I might have been pst one night when I drew that...
I really think is quite stylish ! Could be worth a lot of money one day !! LOL

as long as the wheel touches the ground I think it looks nicer to cover as much as poss...
depends on your field I spose.
If you need to use bigger wheels then relieve the hole in the spats some more.
its all about choices..
Philly.... Im really very sorry but I found your envelope on the workshop floor yesterday.... It must have dropped out the collection that went to the post on Tuesday... as a result your hinges only got sent yesterday...
you might be lucky but....

Seriously....try sticking them with clear silicone. If you have a knock it just breaks the silicone away.
I totally twated a new ZN Synergy last night - but the spats were fine!
