Default Fluctuations in the gravitational field

Today, at approximately 7:30PM local time in Palmer, Alaska, there was a severe and momentary increase in the gravitational force at the east end of our runway, causing the devistation of the aircraft (particles) in the photo.

My question is: What causes these gravitational fluctuations, and could some kind of reverse tractor beam be mounted on the wings of my planes, to prevent these things in the future?

Sorry but I think you've got the wrong forum. You want applied Quantum Physics and Chaos Theory...... 3 doors down on the right....

NEXT PLEASE!!!!

Mike, after extensive digital analyzation of your crash site photo, I can say without a doubt that your crash WAS NOT due to gravitational aberrations! It was the insiduous effects of the dreaded Downlight Turn Syndrome. There's such a excess light/day ratio up there in Alaska at times that this is a huge problem, unbeknownst to most. I had a similar problem with my planes down here in the USA in the summertime. The problem is so severe I've had to go to transparent film covering on all my planes to deal with the effects of excessive light pushing down on my wings!

I have been led to understand that large deposits of lead in the butt will cause strange attractions.

There are definitely stange energies at work when I fly. I have seen airplanes literally sucked into the ground, especially when I was low and inverted.

People whose decision making process I greatly admire have done some of the strangest things I have ever seen when they get a transmitter in their hands. Perhaps the gravity flux is messing with the synapses of the brain.

Then there is the habit of being squirted with glow fuel out of the overflow vent while you are looking at the needle valve and deciding that nitro will not effect anything.

Mike,
I don't know if this is related, but about that same time there was a top secret military flight just a few hundred miles away. I heard about it from a friend in the Air Force. They are developing a system that can bring down ICBM's which are coming over the North Pole.

I don't know if these are chemical or biological, but maybe some of the laser energy got divirted to your area. Were there any burn marks on the balsa?

Default Investigation

Thanks everybody, for your input.

I think that some combination of gravity, and light "push" may have been what happened. Do you think that if I covered the next plane in chrome Monokote, or other reflective finish, that it would resist the light photons better?

(...Or perhaps a little more "up" elevator would've helped?)

In our rush to help out a fallen comrade I see that all of us have forgotten to have him check the "best before" date of the Aireons that he used during the wing construction.

I know they don't spoil under normal circumstances but that has led many of us to use old stock without checking. Mike, please tell me you didn't use pre_Millenium Aireons in your wing. If so then I'm almost sure that they would be acting as if they were early 1903's Aireons.... And we ALL know that those ones didn't carry much weight.

Default Aha!

The ailerons may very well be pre-millenium. They, (and part of the wing) are about all that's left of the structure, so I will have them irradiated by our local nuclear facility, then inspect them for pre-millenium-ism.

Thank you for the handy tip!

This could only be a "MIKE JAMES" thread !!! What about micro gremlins ?? I think they finally down scaled from taking apart real airplanes, now there after us !!!!!!!! Quick grab the alumminum foil and wrap your precios planes in it quickly !!!!!

Default Ok...

Sorry, it's been a tense week, and I had to post something not so serious.

I guess no one should be proud of a crash, but I still have to say, this one was spectacular. After a dive from about 1000 feet and a high speed pass down the runway, I took a second to glance, and make sure another plane was clear, before pulling vertical. The rest is history...

The plane hit at a relatively flat angle, sending a "spray" of debris into the air. The engine was found about 100 feet away from impact, in the tall grass shown in the photo.

Win some, lose some.
Thanks for all the responses... Made me laugh.

Mike, and all those who posted...

You guys have a hell of a sense of humour. First time I have laughed about a crash

It's Mars that did it.

With out a good sense of humor, for a crash atleast, you wouldn't want to rebuild the POS

Default There's more...

What a week...

Threatened with legal action, screwed by Val'a Fusco again, crashed a plane, and turned 49. (actually 08-31 is my birthday)

I have done some research and found that Grand Marnier is good for your sense of humor.

Tomorrow, I'll just be relaxing....
Thanks again for all the great responses, everybody.

PFFFTH.... Pup.....

I just turned 50 back on Aug 2. But it's OK because I act like I'm 15 so that averages out to 32 1/2.....

I'll be away riding a motorcycle around a race track this weekend so don't do anything to mess up the forum, eh....

PS: I MEANT aireons and not ailerons. If you neglected to check your ailerons for expiry then you have no one to blame but yourself.... We can only help you so much and the rest is up to you.

Did I ever tell you the story about the time I was flying the 1/2A model inverted over a ditch and got a glitch? I'll leave the ending up to your imagination..... it was all that and more....

. . . and to cap it all, you probably won't find anybody clicking on the website URL at the bottom of your messages, as you've typed htpp not http!

Happy birthday!

Default Thanks!

Thank you Guardian, and those of you who emailed me, too.

Here's an image showing the results of the salvage operation. Gravity fluctuations have settled down here, except for a brief period last night when I found myself stuck to the ceiling.

The wing is repairable, and could be used on something else. The tail would make a nice hat, and the pilot took the initiative and ejected, so he was unharmed.

Man, I hate it when Gravity fluctuations occur. Out here in Georgia they have trees that love to jump out, grab planes and play with them.

Happy Be-Lated Birthday Mike

Yeah, that is why I love New Mexico much better. NO tall trees
hehe. Except for minor disturbances in gravitational flatulations, errrr, fluctuations that is out there. Everyonce in a while though you do get the occasional gutsy scrub brush that likes to jump out and "try" to help land your plane.

Man what a great post Mike. Thanks for the laugh.

Default Irrational Aircraft Behavior......

Mike....I just turned 50 last year....does that mean we can have 2 25 yr old girlfriends?.........I think what happened to your plane was the "Mars" effect........Mars was at its closest distance to the earth on August 27th....it was because of this the gravitational forces between Earth and Mars intersected and caused unusual and Irrational aircraft behavior which could have been the cause of your "Accident".........I would ck into that.........thats as good of an "explanation" as most of the others are........Enjoy your Birthday.....Bill.....

Default I like the theory...

Bill!

I will check into the Mars theory, but first, I want to check into the 2 girlfriend theory. I think you are absolutely correct. Great advice!
