The engine mount is adjustable. Its a SWB mount. I am trying to take my time and do it right. The picture don't show but I'm almost finished. Maiden should be in a week or so. Did you ever try Esprit Models for a DPM Cub? They had the clipped wing in stock a while back.

Got my Super Cub just about done. OS 160 twin, JR servos and radio. I did a few minor scale details to dress it up just a bit. Full cockpit, with a full body pilot. I have been following this thread for over a year, and just now have my plane ready to go! Still waiting for the weather to break here, but once it does I will be ready!

Bud and Brian, they are looking good. I can't wait to hear some flight reports.
I started my 160 for the first time a few minutes ago and wow! that thing runs great. Very smooth. It idles so low its unbelievable.
I went with the MPI on-board glow and so far it seems to be working great. I lowered my tank as Pettit recommended and seems to be fine.
Brian, I have been following this thread for quite some time as well. If you notice I first inquired on this thread in 2004. I settled with the clipped wing version, could'nt stand the wait any longer.
Good Luck to both of you.

Thanks for the compliments everybody! I got the idea for the landing light from a Model Airplane News article some time ago. I simply made a cut out in the wing about 3 1/4 wide by about 1 1/4 deep. I framed the cut out with 1/8 light ply. I bought a pair of key chain flashlights from the dollar store. I used the lenses, and tossed the rest of them in the trash. I then made a 1/16 ply plate and glued the lenses to that after cutting the correct size hole. That assembly is then bolted to the light ply frame work. I used thin plastic sheet for the outer lens cover, and screwed it down with painted #0 screws. The lights are from RAM. I cant remember what part number they are, I want to say #129 maybe. It only took an evening to do, and I think it makes the plane look less like and ARF. Another question was about the pilot. I bought it here on RCU. I think it was made by a company called Pilots by Dianne. All I know is he fits pretty well, and looks way cool! I also lowered the tank floor for the OS 160. It worked out well, I used a Dubro 16oz tank, and the pilots legs go beside the tank. I also built a Carden Extra 260 this winter, but I think I am more excited to fly the Cub! My buddy has the clipped wing version and I have flown that a bunch. Its great, but there is still something about a big yellow Cub! Thanks again.

If you're planning on using the Keleo exhaust be sure to order at the beginning of the assembly process. There is a 4 to 6 week wait on the exhaust systems. I waited until the end to order. Luckily he had one in stock and is shipping to me next week. He builds these to order and is busy.

Yes, there are a few. You are more than welcome to gaze upon the preceding 27 pages.
The OS 160 FS twin is by far the most popular due to the realism factor.

I'm sure he's talking about one like mine. In some photos it looks kind of orange. I'm like alot of others, that big yellow cub looks great but the clipped wing really looks nice. I've got to put the exhaust on ( when it arrives) and glue in the windows and I'll post a picture of it completed.
I saw your exhaust. You got that here on RCU did'nt you?
Good luck
