I have a blue clipped wing with 3w 24. Engine still breaking in and plane not finished I would sell if someone wants to come pick it up but I really don't want to ship.

Uh oh! Not you doing house renovations too? My present work room (small bedroom upstairs) was at a standstill while we did my renovations. (I did sneak in a build on my SR eindecker) Still have the rec room, two bathrooms and sunroom to finish....just got new carpet upstairs living room and wood floors kitchen/dining room done after stripping tons of wallpaper and building half wall between living/dining room and painting. Carpet man asked when we started renovations, I asked him....what year is it now ?
Nice work area Frank,
I see you have the same field box as me...mine weighs a ton! Gotta get wheels or something.

Here's a pic of my 1/4 scale Balsa USA as promised. This cub was built by one of the original members of our club back in 1982, (it is signed inside the wings). After 2 or 3 flights the builder died and it hung with all of his other airplanes in our meeting room. I was able to buy it from his wife. After recovering, new windshield, cowling, tires and fuel system, I installed an on-board glow system. The original OS 1.20 twin needed cleaning and loosening up. it runs once again like a swiss watch. I flew it last August, just a few days short of it's 25th year of being built and it flies almost exactly the same as a 1:1 cub.

A while back somebody was asking If anyone had turned this cub into more of a bush plane. A guy over on RCGroups did that exact thing to his 80" Adrian Page Supercub kit.

Anyone hear any news on the Cub's. I did send a fax and requested a email or call. I got an email saying they do not know when they are gonna get a shipment.

I have a clipped wing Dave Patrick cub with blue trim with an OS 160 twin and onboard glow for sale if anyone is interested. It has about ten flawless flights on it with perfect landings. It is in mint condition. I am making the jump over to jets and need to sell some kits before I can make any more purchases. Thanks, Mike

I called DPM yesterday, an answering machine had picked-up, and then a female answered, cutting off the machine. I asked her about purchasing a Cub, she stated she did not have them in stock and did not know when they would be receiving a shipment.
She had a poor tone in her voice, like I was taking time from her bubble-bath or something?? She did not seem a bit interested in taking the time to try and keep a customer. Note; I was on the phone for less then a minute!
It’s a shame, a person like DP, making such a pristine aircraft and business, and flushing it all down the drain, go figure!

Yep,
These people are really something, same results here. I think the hobby should pressure these people. How can this guy show at TOP GUN and not get flack, he should go out of business or just tell people what the deal is. I'm afraid if they ever do come out the quality will be poor.

My R/C Friends,
I really did want a DPM Cub; however, I will not spend one single cent on a company and its owners, who consistently not only treat me badly, but the R/C community as well.
Question: Is DPM currently accepting purchase orders, and if so, do they require a deposit or full payment. I am not accusing them of fraud; however, I am just curious if they have accepted lots of orders with payments, and now have spent a majority of the money and can not complete an order with the manufacture.
You can easy put the burden on the manufacture; however, take a second and ask yourself, if you owned DPM would you allow your business to crumble away for a manufacture? The answer is, NO!! Example, take a company like Great Planes and Hanger 9, who has tons of Cub’s for sale, grant the quality may not match those of DPM; however, it takes a manufacture to assemble these good kits as well, without shortages.
I don’t know, maybe I am wrong altogether, I am just disappointed. Dave Patrick, if you’re reading this, SAVE YOUR BUSINESS!
Sincerely,
Disappointed Customer

All I can tell you is they are a very small company competing in a large market with tower/great planes etc. From what I understand the manufacturer in china has given precedence to the larger market dealers and this has slowed the DPM cubs almost to a halt and Dave has been working on the problem. They do not require a deposit and if you buy with a credit card the account is not charged until your order is shipped.

I think what bud said is correct. Dave keeps getting put behind the bigger companys so his hands are tied. I don't think he gives you any time frame because he doesn't get one.

Last summer the right flange on the Keleo exhaust header on my OS 160FT broke off. It was hard to see inside the DPM Super Cub cowl, but I noticed the pipes wiggling and making contact with the cowl exit hole. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyway, I contacted Keleo, they said send it back with $10 bucks and they would repair it. I finally got a round tuit and sent it in last week. Just got it back (less than a week turnaround) and....IT'S A BRAND NEW ONE! This one has beefier flanges on it and looks like it will last forever. Thanks to Keleo for some really great service!

This is no excuse for extremely poor sustomer service!
I will never, ever, EVER purchase from DPM again.
