If anyone thinks of buying this airplane its pretty much a good one.
When you go to make up the pushrods though make sure you cut them about 3 1/2 inches shorter than what they are,the instruction say nothing about having to cut them but if you don't you go through the trouble of drilling and wraping the string and heat shrinking the the steel rod to the balsa pushrod only to find out..when you put them in the plane the balsa rod is hanging over you're servo's!
Also..they give you thick spring steel rod and they are impossible to z bend..they will break before you get it right,so i used regular "silver" pushod on the servo ends.
Other than that the Airplane is a nice one!

I have had a few of these
Make sure you have enough power for them. Mine originally had a 46FX and it bareley flew. Go with a 72 4 stroke or bigger if you can. I am flying mine with a MDS 68 right now.
CG is very important if you dont balance it correctly it turns into a hand full in the air. I had to balance it with some lead weight but now im ok becuase I have a bigger motor to compensate.
I agree there is nothingin the instructions telling you to shorten the rods, they are about 4-6" too long. Also the supplied dowl/push rods are too weak. I snapped mine while building it so I put in stronger ones we had.
-make sure its powered properly or it will fly like crap
-make sure CG is setup correctly.
if you do that this plane is fun and enjoyable.

I flew one with a 46FX and found it was not enough power. Crashed it anyway from an engine failure. Bought another one and aquired a 61FX from a friend at work. From the experts I have talked with they think this should be plenty of punch.

I have the cap 232 40 , Hanger 9 w/ 46fx . Plenty of power & flies better than my Goldberg Tiger 2. Added lead to engine mount plus heavy prop nut & balances rite on. No problem w/ stab or fin attachment.

I just got one its still in the box I was looking over the manual and saw that the wing has like 2 5/8 in of diehedral in it measured with one wing on the table and measure from the raised one, does this affect the knife edge capability of the plane I was thining about taking some if not all of the diehedral out what do you guys think thanks rickey oh yeah its the 40 size that needs a bigger motor

This is a very good ARF. It builds easy, is light, and flies extremely well. I put a Magnum .80 four stroke on it and that balanced it out well. You can't beat the price either. I've seen them for $99.

Cant fly it on the the prop with a .46 FX I know that. Which is one of the many reasons I am putting a .61 FX on mine. At least you cant hold it for long. $69.00.....that is a great price ! ! !

there are many similar to this that you can try according to your needs. These are the ones I use and are handy when needing to make small adjustments

I use them on all my planes and they are great. Just loosen the small allen screw and you can move the rod in/out slightly. I have never been fond of the Z bend technique. Much easier to make the adjustment you're referring to this way then at the other end of the rod.
