Darkfire- look into your carburator and if there is no opening in the slide at all , you need to adjust that by turning the idle set screw on the bottom of the carb. if you still cant do it or you dont understand what i am trying to say you can give us a call at 714-792-1923 ext: 100 we will be glad to help you out.

the opening in the carb should be between an 1/8th of an inch and a 1/16th of an inch

Is the slider the little rod that moves in and out inside the carb?

Cause I have already turned the idle screw all the way in to open it up. I would like to show pics but my Pc is being annoying.

If you take the air filter off and look down into the carb, there is a shiny "barrel" in the opening-- that is the slide. There should be small gap where air can pass through when the engine is idling. The throttle linkage pulls this slide open when you pull the throttle. Having the throttle screw turned all the way in doesn't sound right. Double-check that you are adjusting the idle screw; you can see the slide move as you turn the screw.

I know im getting closer to keepin it idle, So your saying that having my idle turned all the way in shouldnt be like that? Ill try to loosen it a bit. Should I try using my ofna check valve?

No the OFNA Checkvalve will not help in this case. You will need to adjust the idel screw which in the front of the carb entering the carb at an angle.

If your idle screw is turned in(Clockwise) all the way to the point where it is tight, then its in too far..

Well before you losen it look down the carb and see if the Slider is open at all, if its not then there is a problem with the idle screw.. Check that before you do anything..

I really dont get what the slider is, is it that piece with the half circle that moves in and out. There is like a 1/16 gap between the top of the circle to the wall of the carb

Darkfire...i'm back into this from now from close to your age so where almost on the same page but i think i've tryed more crap out...when you take our filter off the hole u look down has a peice that moves when you hit the gas...that's the slider i think everyone is talking about...it has the almost half moon end on it...there should be a little opening at the end of the half moon...when you hit your brakes this should stay open. the little black screw under your HSN on the left down below the HSN. My trucks at home but I think it's to the bottem right of the HSN but the left of the carb when your looking at your truck from the driver side. i think

From what little I know of new nitro rc's this engine is a tough one from the start. She didn't like being new at all. Just past a gallon because fuel is alot right now but she's killer at the end of the first gallon! just take time to learn her. good luck and I wish I could post pics so I hope I helped.

Alright guys I have concluded why my truck is not idling correctly. The socket joint on the carburator arm was very loose, almost all the way off the threads, so thats why even with the trucks idle screw all the way in the carburator arm had it shut closed. Now how far is it down our your trucks? A picture would be nice. Pg: 23 in your manual, the part is the carburator arm.

I actually havent stripped that piece yet. I have it tightend almost all the way down the threads and my idle screw is set at the factory settings. It idles well but when i put on the break it shuts off. Should I increase the idle screw more?

I really need to figure out the balance with the idle and carburator arm. I thought it was fine but it ocasionally cuts out on me while holding the break too long. I'll figure it out eventually. I dont know if this is because of the break in process, but i can see a little smoke comming off the engine after its been running for like 5 minutes and i can hear this sound too like gurguling/ sizziling mix. Any idea why i hear that? could it be the fuel? or is the engine over heating. I hope its not over heating.

You might have to give the idle screw a little bit of a turn in or addj your LSN to help with a clean idle. Not sure if I'm right but hope it helps.

I have heard sizzling and gurggling on my well NX7.6 But it runs, idles and blasts just fine!! but you might wanna try turning the lsn in(clockwise) just a touch more. It sounds like it is "loading" when at idle. But only turn in 1/8 increments. Do you have the [link=http://www.rchardware.com/]N-tune Tuning Dial[/link]. It will help emensly while tuning your engine on a daily basis..

I hope this helps

Oh and your very welcome, thats what we are here for...
