Radioflyer,
I order most of my parts online, reason, cost of gasoline. It cost me almost as much in gas, that the shipping charges are. Plus, if I need 4 parts, my LHS only has 3 of them. Hence, another trip and gas.
My next order will be from hobby-sports.
Thanks again,
Dave / Choppersrule

I meant to get a question to you guys. Do you all have to push the blade in forward flight? I hold a tad of forward in the hole time or it will climb. I tried to be smart and engineer a stabilizer on the back out of 3mm depron but even at a steep negative pitch it only slightly helped. Does everyone else have this problem? Does anyone have a fix? This is a pic of what I did and it really didn't help alot.

I got mine from Lee. Although I can honestly say I had it shipped. Bit of a drive for me. Just for a small world update, I lived in Cass for two years and Niles for one. My first wife was from Cass and we moved to Dowagiac after we got married. Used to go to Portage every weekend.

Thought you'd all get a kick out of this. I clipped my hand-held GPS (Garmin Vista - weight: 150 g) to the undercarriage of my BPC and flew around a few times. It worked best when I set the GPS to record at once per second and flew slowly, otherwise the points were too far apart. Handling was sluggish with the extra weight. Here's a couple of pics showing the install and one showing a segment of flight plotted in Excel. I might try it again in a bigger field, to get smoother lines.

I noticed that too. Ive been re tweeking after installing new spindle, main
shaft and bearings. I reset the servos to get my swash more level. I got it level
and now upon liftoff it wants to tilt nose up and come back toward me (tail in).
trims are centered, I thinki'll turn front linkage, (half a turn)as to shorten linkage on front servo.

If you were in the mountains this past weekend? It was the best flying weather
we have had. It usally is windy/breezey around here till sunset.

I read a post a while back where a guy taped his girlfriends cel phone on and turned on the video. It was a crappy video but really interesting when the tape broke loose at about 100 feet. His last comment was that she had insurance on the phone
. He took the sim card from the "old" phone and put it in the "replacement" and it still had the vid.

Zooland,
Terrific idea. I don't have a camera that takes video, so I'll have to beg/borrow one. That's much more interesting than GPS. Now that you mentioned it, I started looking around for video cameras for RC planes and found some interesting products here:

These people do security cameras. One is so small that 5 of them can fit on the head of a quarter. They have transmitters that are equally as small, and combination units (like the one in the link above). You could easily put together a camera system that weighs less than 1 ounce with 1000’ to 2500’ range.
I would suggest ordering a catalog. They have dozens of combinations available and the catalog is MUCH easier to browse through than the web site. Plus it has the prices. The web site is pretty much “Call for priceâ€.

Ok im at a loss. All of you are putting heavy GPS units, cameras, and what not on your Blade CPs and I can not even fly mine and I have had it for weeks now. That whole keeping it in the box concept for learning isnt working. I can fly RC planes fine, im worried theres something wrong with my blade. Infact, today when I was trying the servos all the sudden started going crazy and the light on the 4-1 started flickering. (im assuming thats blown?) What causes the 4 in 1 to fry? This thing is becomming a giant money pit for me and I have had no enjoyment. I take it up 3-4 feet as people suggest and the thing just doesnt want to stay put. Most always I get it up and it ends up flying itself around the yard with me just trying to keep it upright and land it. I wish the marymoor RC club wasnt so impossible to join and I didnt have to wait so long to get my AMA card when I order it each year! Because I need some serious help! Awesome with the GPS and cameras though... maybe I will get there someday!?!?!?!

Sweet!!! Just found a hobby store not even 10 miles from my house. Called them up and they said the have the new plastic blades in stock. Ill be on my way to pick them in a bit. Now just gota get some parts for my walkera 22e and ill have 2 flying helis. I hate using the stock cp charger takes so long the 22e takes like 45 minues.

Got a BCP question. Flying the heli in the backyard now but the problem is after every 1 or 2 minutes of flight, the heli seems to automatically increase the pitch of the blades and slow the head speed down, noticeably so. And the heli tends to jump up in the air a few feet. This kinda freaks me out when I'm flying. Is this normal for the heli to do? Its all stock.
Is this how it compensates for the battery draining or is something else screwed up?

Good for you Talon, the power of positive thinking!
Seriously, I find my main shafts last longer when I use softer material for the pins like from paper clips. SOMETIMES a soft pin will shear without bending the shaft or spindle

Servo gear ?
I think I stripped a tooth off either the servo gear and/or servo arm. My BCP is 8 months old.
( electronics are the only thing original)
If I replace a servo, should i think about replacing all 3 ?? They have been through alot during the
learning stage ( still learning BTW). I am going to replace the servo arm today and see if that helps.
It may be time to re-order MORE parts, like "Talon" I just installed my last main shaft and
spindle last week. Talon, Zoo is right you should have bought more than 1 shaft. (kidding)
Any thoughts ??? Thanks in advance.

Well, fortunatly Eflight began selling little packets of gears for their servos. I purchased 4 sets and just opened up all my servos and replaced the gears... they are good as new now. The sets of gears are about $3 each as opposed to buying all new servos. Just a thought.

Just got the new plastic blades last night. Installed them and used the last little bit of battery left to track the blades. All the vibration is gone now. I guess it was from the chunk that was missing from one of the wooden blades lol. Charging the battery now and in 2 hours ill be outside flying
.
