Thanks for that! I spent at least 6 trips un doing the canopy and adjusting tonight. I am getting
this NEW 4n1 close, but i'm still not happy but thats what makes it a challenge. I still hate the tail
set up ( stock one ) on these birds.
Zoo
Is it possible to have tooo much + pitch ?? i don't have a pitch gauge (yet)
or that may be one of my problems.

Are the blades level or slightly - at 0 throttle in normal mode?
[/quote]
No, I have a small amount of + pitch at 0 throttle in the norm mode.

the west side ok, that would be on the old AFB. side and the south part was where the kept
the B52's cargo I think back in _____ . That would be a great area. But I can imagine the heat
from the tarmac to the east would be even hotter than Fla. is already.
My new 4n1 is coming along slowly, but it's still FUN!!!!

I have a question.... I am thinking about buying the [link=http://www.helihobby.com/html/eflight_blade_cp.html]All-Metal Bell-Hiller Head System for CP2 Blade CP [/link] . I believe this will increase stability and performance as well as remove any problems with the sticky problems that may come up again. Please let me know if anyone is fimiliar or recommends this.
Thank You,

Bob--in answer to your Q about pitch, the main thing to watch for is that the pitch at an appropriate time is in line with the throttle curve. Too much pitch with too low head speed won't work, it will just bog. And if you exceed 10 degrees at full throttle it will do the same. What I do is pull the motor leads, throw it in idle up, center throttle and then line up the blades with the flybar. If you do that it should make everything fall in line so that in normal mode you'll have pretty much zero pitch at zero throttle and in idle up you'l have +10 / -10. Hope that helps.

Just thought of something about you guys with sticky problems. One of my first mods was the metal swash. Highly worth the investment. Again, just my (and about a million others) opinion.

Navihawk,
I appreciate the offer, but I have about an acre to mow. Too bad about RC World, I guess there just weren't enough modelers to buy the homes? Too many noise complaints? I just heard about it closing last week.

I read that too much pitch is a bad thing in non throttle up mode I have about 9 degrees of pitch but I heard that 11 degrees is where you want to be no more then 11... Just a note... Being I am still a beginer please take this advice as so.
Thank You,

The Pro isn't out yet. Horizon is the distributor and their website says earlly August. I have a deposit on one at my LHS, was in there Thursday the 20th, and they said one to two weeks. Who is saying they have them?
I saw one post that said that Horizon won't sell online until their customers, (the LHSs) receive them. That makes sense, but I don't know if it's true.
I know I'm ready for mine!!! I've read all these posts, plus lots of other info, and I'm ready to try it out! RealFlight gets RealBoring after a while. On that subject, I found a Trex for G2 and G3 somewhere in this string, I think, that the creator said behaved very similar to the BCP. Has anyone that has a blade and G2 tried that model? I would like your opinion on how it compares.
Waiting for Christmas,
orlbuzz

Just another tidbit, you can set your proportion and gain without the canopy. The only thing the canopy throws off is CG, shouldn't affect the gyro.
cfossa---isn't Peachtree City in the Atlanta area? There are tons of flyers in that area. They may not necessarily fly blades, but heli flyers are a very freindly group. Ask at the lhs's and somebody will hook you up.

The gyro (as far as this ole man can explain) in the blade is a piezo gyro. Basically all it does is try to maintain a relationship between the main rotors and tail so that when the rotors are at a certain rpm the tail automatically compensates. It does not lock in on a bearing (compass point, not steel bearing) the way a heading hold gyro does. Hence the name heading hold. So if the blade gets hit by a gust of wind, or even excessive rotor wash, it will just turn with the wind. That's why you are constantly controlling the tail, which in itself is good training. An HH gyro does it's best to lock on a heading and if a gust of wind hits it, it will try to compensate and return to that bearing on it's own. An HH gyro reacts to stick input.

hmm...ok heres a question with the gyros...ive got a cp pro on super backorder lol...so im gettin a bunch of spares and upgrades lined up for it in my toolbox...after i do a little practice with holding the tail myself with the stock setup id like to move onto a HH gyro since it says is compatible with HH gyros without swappin everything out...basically what it comes down to is do i rly have to pay 145 dollars for the futaba gy401 or will a cheaper one do the same thing? any recomendations?

These are the right size but may not be true heading hold gyros.
I believe you also have to swap the 4 in 1 for this 2 in 1

Zoo and others, is this not correct?

Thanks for the info, so it does not matter if the ground you are taking off from is level ?? or
if the 4n1 is pefectly level sitting on the plastic mount ??
Thanks again!

I believe it only sees rotation of the helicopter, and doesn't care about level. But if the 4-in-1 is on its side, then anytime you lean forward the heli will spin. But if its reletivly level to the mount it should be ok.
