Thats a nice jet good size, i bet the equipment to fly it is high dollor, sorry about the spelling guys i finished high school in 1983 and had to do 8 grade twice i was a burnout and screwed up but i didn't burn all my brain cells i haven't touched the stuff in 15 years so i'm a little slow but i'm still able to learn did you guys ever see that guy flying that huge B 52 and crash?somebody said he crashed two of them what a waste of money. mike

Vic~you want to fly something crazy try flying a 30 size extra crashed my first time out because i had the throws set to high, tried doing a looped and it snaped at about 20 feet saved it and janked on the stick and it snaped again so i chopped the throttle and put it in, but after i set them right i could fly it with a lot of speed on takeoff and landing stalls very easy, been flying everything from small electrics to 1/4 scale for 10 years so i think with a little help i could fly that little sceamer[X(] thanks for the info mike

Hey....I know you can fly it, that's not the problem. The build and setup are what will kill you if you do it wrong. If I had this thing at 100% D/R.....I would have smashed it for sure. If you get one...get with me. The motor as stock is very sufficient, but battery should be minimal 2150 3S 20C My helicopters use 2200 3S 20-30C, and it works WELL in the F-16, but I had to set the fan unit back 1.5" more than if I'd used a lighter battery. A tick nose heavy, but I can deal with it.

Been there done that the setup is everything, jet looks great, a tail heavy plane is a bear and almost imposable to fly,had a guy build a F18 from scratch it was 1/4 scale and maybe 12 or 14 pounds and he did something wrong with the build because it was tail heavy and they could not get it to balance, good thing the pilot was one of are best at are field because he got it down but man was that a sight, never did get it to fly right.they got a picture of it before it pitched up after takeoff, it had a 91 supertiger pusher on it.you might be able to look at it on my old clubs website a lot of nice planes and a great bunch of guys. there is a guy name jim soucy not sure on the spelling that builds everything from scratch and boy is he good converts weedeater and chainsaw moters to fly them,if you like warbirds this guy has them.check the site if you want a lot of his planes are on there.lcrc.org lorain county rc club

Here's a couple pics for now, I'am charging my camera right now, while eating...Lol... 113 pictures, and so much video my camera is smokin'...

Vic,

Looks great, just as she sits. Good decision, keeping it stock and limited decals.

Jeff Michael,

Great pictures of the show... You sound like a kid in a candy store, thrilled with excitement. That's okay, that is what makes this hobby unlike so many others... So many options. Settle down, take a deep breath and enjoy the afternoon browsing again..

Tim ~

I loved the video...! I overlooked it before, as our posts almost overlapped... Take your time with the heli's, there's no rush in when it comes to learning with them. I was stuck hovering my CPP for many months before trying the next step... And also we love having you aboard, and enjoy your knowldege and wisdom, and of course your videos... Remember, were like the Mafia..... Once your in, there's no getting out.... We'll find ya ! And Dave has connections....

Mike ~

Glad to see ya hanging around with all us clowns. Don't worry about the spelling and such... I understand just fine, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Dave ~

Glad to see ya enjoying the Vapor. You can't hurt it... The CHP tried clocking it with there radar at the show, but it wouldn't register on the gun.... However..... The 4 stryker formation did...!! And I couldn't even get em' on film there so fast. One was clocked with mods at 128 mph... Still not sure about them, they really didn't do any slow flights so it was hard to judge on a tame flight for a noob....

Crash ~

I tried to get some shots of a few jets for ya !

Jay ~

All the crafts you see in the pics, I bet ya have em' all........ You dogg.....

I'am going to take up a few posts to throw up a few pics. Not all 134 of em', but a few.... Kinda neat to look at all the different styles and such....My favorite is the American flag hanging of a big nitro heli, whichever kind it is. I have it as my wallpaper. You guys should save that one at least, prett neat ! And in memory of 9-11...........

Alright.... Gotta run to the LHS for a prop, prop shaft/gearbox, and some carbon fiber rods to try and straighten out the front nose of the Typhoon 2 3-D that suffered damage from the last crash... The foam is tweaked at a pretty good angle, and only holding just about from my stickers...Lol.. If not repairable I'll order a new fuselage for $25.00.... But I love to tinker, so I'am going to attempt a duct-tape repair job, so to speak...

Talk with ya guys later !

Jeff,
That is one sweet Corsair!
Just got home from flying with the local hooligans and got the Corsair in the air and ran about 5 minutes or so. I learned they have to fly fast to be controllable. Went with dual rates 75% with 20% expo on AIL and ELE She looked like a porpoise when running high rates (100% and 0% expo) So after i got it way up in the air I flipped it back to low rates and had a blast with it. It is squirrellier (sp?) than a greased down hairless chihuahua on a vinyl mat covered in crisco! I bet half of you just had a visual of that too...............
Took the Trex also but never did fly it. The grass is too tall to even attempt a takeoff or landing, will have to bring the carpet piece again next time. I will edit the vid and get something posted on youtube for ya guys soon.......

Sweet pics Jeff, I love attending shows just like you do. I used to fly on an AMA sanctioned Air Show Team and we'd travel to all the shows doing flight demos (fixed wing aircraft for me, no helis!). I'd spend more time walking the flight line talking with guys then I would actually wanting to fly.

VIC This video I uploaded is your next project. A guy in our club has been flying them for a few years now. Top speed 140MPH. I won't say what it is, just watch and make sure your volume is up, you'll be grinning from ear to ear. I got to dig out the picture of me with the fire extinguisher ealry on when he was learning them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUB4FmmAPns

I'll spend more time later catching up, got to run for now.

Glad ya guys enjoyed the pics.... Arrow, we need that new video soon... And Jim, that turbine plane is too killer ! Maybe I can sell my car & get one. The thing sounds incredibly real-life like ! I have a 5 minute vid of some short clips of the RC event if anyones interested :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MH2-TrgmJi8

Also took some pics of the nose dive into the dirt with the Typhoon. Not sure as it is split pretty good, but I'll accept the challenge for a possible fix... I'am beat tired from a long day, so it might be another long night of repair on the Typhoon.... But it comes with the territory, as we all lose sleep in this fascinating hobby.

Take care,

~ Jeff
