Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the nice words. Yes it is very intimidating. When kids pulls up in one of those Honda/ nisson/ whatever road racer cars and my cam rattles the glass out of their windows they take notice real fast of the old man. You'd be surprised when I pull off my helmet and people see I am a senior citizen LMAO!!! their mouth's drop!

Dave, that's a good idea. Thanks Vic

The Futaba 3114's seem to be a great servo so far. It will fit on the tail perfectly.

JPEE,
The Choppersrule is for the helis on the forum. However, I road Choppers / Harley's, Honda's and a host of others from about 1975 to 1990. Never did like the Crouch Rockets though. At the time, other family matters occured and had to sell 'em off. Never had the time or money to get back into the Harley action.
Well for an Ol' Fart, all I can say is, that's ONE AWESOME MACHINE... I'll tell ya, it brings back alot of memories, I'm drooling right now.

BTW, you have a very nice house.

Hey Dave and crew on this thread, thanks for the kind words. I love my Blades and T-28, they both fly sweet!
Dave, is Choppersrule for motorcycles or Heli "choppers". Back in the day Choppers were harleys? Just in case it meant motorcycles, look what this old man has, a BIG CHOPPER!

I got home from work today and there was a nice package waiting for me in my living room. Yep it's the Belt CP. This thing just looks BIG compared to BCPP and overall better built. I got the battery on the charger now and should be ready before long. I have been and still am going over every nut and bolt so far everything seems right on for adjustments(head, tail, servos). Just need batt to check CG, tracking, gyro and trims. Also ordered a sim cable with it for more practice.
Will get pics soon

Jeff-Michael,
Your 100% right, I am the lonely goat, without a Sprectrum system.
I know you have a million things going through your brain right now, figuring this, figuring that. What's the best way to go? That's a decision only you can make and I won't offer any aid there. It's a hobby that we all love and make our own decisions, right or wrong.
Check it all out, weigh and balance all aspects. And what you want to do, down the road, say a year or so down the road.
Yep, you are getting to know me, maybe to well. Beating me to the punch.
You young rascal.
I would gladly accecpt your offer of the DX6i radio, if you decide to go that route.. Your generosity is overwhelming.
Vapor Stuck to wall: LMAO, check this one out Jeff, no damage either, it's one tough little plane. What are the odds of this happening? I nosed into the wall and the prop got hung up in the wall outlet. Geeez! Also, look at the paneling and all the scratches on it... Think that may be main blade strikes?
That's three years of having fun.
Thanks,
Dave / Choppersrule

Jim,
Thanks for the info on the 3154, now I have to make a decision on the 3154 or the 3114 that Jay is using. Hmm, always something.
Jeff-Michael,
I like your idea of using a a servo mount to prevent the boom from sliding in, very creative, much better than the hose clamp...
Sorry Vic.
Jeff, your right about the plastic stripping out too, it sucks.. Although, the do make Loc-tite for plastic. HMMMM!
Helicopter trimming trees, holy molely. That is awesome, I could have used him a week or so ago, when I had the wind storm take out one of my trees. Helicopter fishing, looks great, but I hate fish. LMAO

Rick,
Thanks for your update on what's going on out there. I'm surprised you're at work... You will survive, no worries mate, remember you are the "Tough Old Goat". Love ya Rick..
Arrow,
Keep on lurking, we know your busy and have a ton to do... We all love Rick and all he has to do is shout and we'll all be there for him.
Hugs to Jacki...
Kyle,
Well, now that your B400 has arrived, the ant's in the pants must be gone, and the excitment is growing for maiden flight..
Well fellas, got stuff to do, catch ya tomorrow,
Dave / Choppersrule

Geez.... I've been super busy !!
Rick ~
Just hang in there my friend... It will just get better, I promise....
Don't worry about your batts, they'll be fine... I've stored mine over and over with a full charge for 5 months one time when I was away from here as you remember, and even a month just recently, and there all still fine... There tougher than ya think, and don't lose a charge as much as you think like the Nicd/Nimh batts. I hated those Nicd's/Nimh's for my RC cars, as there constantly draining and its terrible to keep them topped-off ! You almost got to run to the filed to run em'...!
Or keep them trickling on a charge... I'll only go lipo for anything from now on... When I get home, I'am throwing the 12 Nicd/Nimhs in the garbage, and some were $75.00 a piece, but there probally taost now since they've sat for a year now in the garage....
Dave ~
If I had a million dollars, I would keep just enough to get by, and give the rest away to good causes... That's just me...Some things in life are more important than materialistic things, and money. I know this first hand, as there's a lot you don't know about me... So I would be more than happy to give that to you, and glad you didn't maybe take it offensively at all, as I think a little different than the normal person, so I took that chance... Just think, first thing you can do is bind that thing to the VAPOR !! And maybe your Lama, but can't remember if it's spektrum or not...
I'am still unsure where I'll be going in the purchase, but Jim's response about the 400 has me really thinking that would be the smart thing, instead of the 500... But the SE-V2 would be also a good choice also, as it's similar to what I have now, and the reasons are obvious to why that would be good also....
Take care guys !

This is what its all about... The CPP was just a distraction, and now your into the real world of RC-Helicopters ! Congratualtions....

I love the Stryker video that you just put up of Oly's ! That's mean.... You know I want one, but I'am staying the course for a new heli mister, so nice try....
Dave ~
Over at the plank section here on RCU, there are many with over 8,000 posts...LOL..
The Badius thread where Tim, and Arrow hang out has over 18,000 posts...! Some have gotten so big in even other threads, that they've started over with part's #2 and #3 even... Crazy huh ?! Now that's being addicted...LMAO..

Jeff Michael,
Touche on the number of posts on the plank side of the house.
Guess that shows ya, I don't go there, no need for me, I can handle the Vapor.[sm=wink_smile.gif]
Touche back to ya, there's a lot you don't know about me either. Being raised in Gary IN in a ghetto, 18 months in Vietnam and my mafia connections. Oh, did I mention the FBI, CIA and Secret Service. PM me on that stuff, if you're curious. We probably have a lot more in common than you think.[sm=50_50.gif] I'm just older.

[8D]
Concerning your next heli, Yikes! That's gonna be a tough go Mister. I was looking at the Trex 500 specs. The one thing I noticed, is that it does take a 6S1P battery at 22.2 volts, which are pricey. However, it could be used in tandem with your LOGO 10... Just more to make your head spin.
Guess where I'm going, is asking, where are you going down the road.. Plan your work,,, work your plan!
No offence taken at all, as mentioned I appreciate your offer to the hilt.
Take care and have fun,,, I'm gonna go fly everything tonight, weather is perfect, and I've got 9 batteries to discharge.

Yeah its driving me NUTS deciding...Lol..!! Explains also why I couldn't sleep last night, and was on the G4 sim & also roaming and posting at 3:00 A.M on RCU.....
More deeper research from what I already know will help me find the answer... I went through this before a few months back, as you might remember and got so overwhelmed that I just started buying a few of those planks, and learning the flight of the planes.... This time is different, and I'am staying the course....
Take care, doing some pre-flights and hopefully a flight or two with the Trex, or Vapor for tonights flight-plan.
~ Jeff
Oh..... JPEE, (John) again..... Congratulations on your first loop !! I'am really considering on trying one soon... So help me.................
