ANOTHER near disaster....Hovering in the basement doing some close L/R side in's checking operation, then for no reason, I lost the rudder servo. I landed safely, and replaced the bad servo, back in business. I lost my pitch servo earlier today too while bench testing swash settings.
Getting this thread back on track now[X(] I have permission from the wife to pick up the Huey fuse when it become available. I'm sure I'll have to put some elbow grease to her to make it right but the look is just to darn sweet to not try it. When I do get it I post a full review of how it goes. I hope it's soon![8D]

Speaking of E Flite- Don't you have an mcX Vic?!
Jay- That fuse looks sweet. I know you will make it perfect for the heli. You have that touch!
I'm still debating on the warbird I want. The PZ Bf 109 looks great put its not without issues. Seems a lot of stock motors are gong out. I really like the ALFA Razorback too. So many decisions.........

When you get it....they fly funny compared to stock. Needs good head speed and a real snappy tail. You'll learn quick about scalers tendency to wallow in the air....and they do wallow, you gotta be on 'em especially if you get hit with a side gust of wind. The small gyro's arent enough to give you good authority of control.

I had to have an Align T-rex as well. I paid more than enough for a 450SA. I also bought a Hobby King HK-450. Not many differences and those parts that I found less quality can be replace with OEM T-rex stuff for way cheaper. The clones are great and WAY cheaper
New Year Blessings to ALL!!

I have worked on and rode many Kawasaki as well as many other brands and would not give up my Harley for any of them. The only thing that comes even close to the storage capacity of my HD is a Gold Wing and I have ridden quite a few them and you just do not have the leg protection as I do on my HD in cold or bad weather. All so the HD radio is MUCH better. LOL Yes the Gold Wing is much faster but I do not buy a touring bike to race and do not believe inj racing on the street is a good thing. Yes they all do the same thing but would you rather drive a low end Hyundai across the country or a top end Mercedes Benz. Personally I rather drive a US made car and I do as this is one of the problems with the economy.
Now I will agree RC helicopters are totally a different story.
I have a friend that bought a KM Baja a HPI Baja clone and after replacing what he had to with the HPI parts it would have been just about as cheap to have bought a HPI Baja and would not have been near as much headache.
With the cheaper helicopters what parts have to be up dated with the T Rec parts? You can get a T Rex 500 combo only needing a lipo pack and a RX as I all ready have a DX6i for right around $500.
Thanks all for your suggestions and I do appreciate then input. I will be a while before I get any other helicopters just checking my options.

HI Folks,
I see ya all have been blabbering away, with a lot of good ideas and things on your goodie lists.. Jay, I'm sure you have your Pro tweaked to perfection and I love the UH1 design, there's a couple guys on the "Scale Forum" that have the big ***** ones. It's incredible the time and precision these take to complete one of these scalers
46U, that Trex 500, I looked at the web-site you posted, and that is by far one of the better deals on a combo package like that. Even some of the 450's are more than that.
Vic, time to look into some better servos, you've gone through a ton of them latel. You know I put the metal gear JR in my 450, had several crashes, 2 really bad ones, and those servos keep on a ticking.. I'm impressed with the ba$tards. Lol

I drive a 03 Buick Lesabre and the wife a 95 Saturn. Lol ! I took typing lessons in school, can't ya tell. (What?)
Never did see midnight and the ball droppin' in Times Square, I'll check it out on youtube.[sm=spinnyeyes.gif][sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

Thought you might like to see this plane. Look "very" closely there are details on this plane you won't believe.
JPEE
Looks like something out of a Jules Verne novel.
Built in Russia during the 1930s, it flew 11 times before crashing and killing 15 people.
The designer, Konstantin Kalinin, wanted to build two more planes but the project was scrapped.
Later, Stalin had Kalinin executed.
Evidently, it was not good to fail on an expensive project under Stalin .
It's got propellers on the back of the wings, too. You can count 12 engines facing front.
The size would be equivalent to the Empire State Building on its side, with cannons.
And you think the 747 was big... not only a bunch of engines but check out the cannons the thing was carrying.
In the 1930s the Russian army was obsessed by the idea of creating huge planes.
At that time they were proposed to have as many propellers as possible to help carrying those huge flying fortresses into the air, jet propulsion has not been implemented yet.
Not many photos were saved from those times because of the high secrecy levels of such projects and because a lot of time has already passed.
Still, on the attached photos you can see one such plane - a heavy bomber K-7.
