Welcome back, Rick! Or should that be ''Welcome Back Kotter!'' Remember that one? Who starred in that one? Lolipop for correct answer.

You are correct, when news of Vic & Jeff's troubles are learned of, that same feeling of dread and concern occurs as if it was a family member. Both will stay in my prayers.

BOB's- maybe its time for an exchange of phone numbers so we can check on each other in case someone is missing in action for awhile. I believe I only have Ricks and he has mine. Sound ike a good idea?

Vic- What's the situation wih your Assan?

Jim
Gentleman,
I agree with Jim. I am not going to get mushy here but we have been together for along time now, years in fact. Myself, I am the junior here. We are like a family and this Forum is more than just heli jabber, at least to me and I can see that it is same for most guys here especially one who shall reamin nameless that shows his daughter holding a freaking 50 cal CANNON! I will take the bull by the horns so to say and send my phone number, Social Security number and my Bank account info and Credit Card numbers to all, starting with Jim. While I jest about this, for real now I am behind Jim on the 300%. I am sending of my first info right now 7:24 Calif time to Jim and when I get home from errands I cover the rest of the guys here.

God's speed to Vic, get well soon, I may need your signature line too and............Chritmas time is nOT a time to be under the weather

Vic,
Glad your ok buddy! Sit back and enjoy the holidays with the family we will all be here.

Jeff,
Whatever problem are going on "Keep your head up" it will get better. Take care

Jim
That is a excellent idea. We should all send the contact info to 1 person the that person can distribute to the rest of the group.

Vic,

Glad to see ya home and feeling better, you had me worried there for awhile. Like I've been preaching to you for months, take it slow and watch yourself. Do what the doctors tell you to do.

Jeff Michael,

We miss you here on the forum, if there's anything you may need, you know where to come. I'm confident in you and things will work out for ya.. Love ya, Man!

Jim,

I concur, I'll be shipping my portfolio out... I may suggest, not to post personal information on the forum. Either e-mail or PM.

Kyle,

Good idea about sending personal information to 1 person to distribute.. But I see one tiny problem, what if... what if,, I didn't want my information to go to everyone,,, say like JPEE... LMFAO ! J/K John Boy[X(][X(][X(] (The cannon is on the bed)

Nothing else to report right now, I'll think of something later, gonna go play for now,
Dave

Vic- Glad you are feeling better!

I'd volunteer to take everyones phone number that is interested, put it in one PM and send it to everyone who provided it. If someone doesn't want to, heck that's OK too. Just trying to find a link so if something goes awry we can get the word around.

Still researching park flyers......

Dave- Everytime I see a pic of your daughter with a firearm, I can't help but think how much she looks like Princess Leia from Star Wars! Don't ask me why!

Jim,

Here's another picture of my daughter, last year on the patio. Different hair do.. And there are similarities. BTW, Vic's granddaughter is named Leia.[X(] Small world.

Randy,

That was her pea-shooter.. See this one, I post it a lot. It's a .454 long barrell.. She loves blowing up watermelons with it.. They live out in the country, closest neighbor is a mile away. And loves flying in helicopters too.

I MUST be feeling better....more and more I notice just how PRETTY that girl is. The .454 (and I still want one) is just the ICING on the cake. MY Princess Leia...a new BAD habit. NOW, she pinches.....HARD!!! Actually pi$$ed me off and I thought I was gonna have bruises from it....the little ***** (LMAO). She needs to spend a day or two with Grandpa...she'll stop that pinching crap in a hurry.

Vic,

Leslie is a cutie for sure. Right out of high school she was offered a Modeling Job.. She passed... She'd rather shoot a gun and go horse back riding. LMAO ! Crap, now she's 32 yo, that makes me really old.

Tell your Princess Leia, that is she's not good, you'll have Grandpa Chopper take care of the situation.. (You know me[sm=punching.gif])

Dave, quite an adventureous young lady there! Does she fly RCheli also?

I've been into all sorts of shooting sports, hunting, and fishing my whole life. Use to write for Flyfishing magazine and a couple different hunting mags as well. This all between bouts with various RCaddictions.

Off topic for a bit, but I'm one proud father:

Randy,

I'm taking that as a compliment to my daughter, Leslie.. I'm VERY, VERY proud of her, she's quite an accomplished lady, not only in her hobbies, but her work place too.
No she doesn't do RC helis, darn. Here favorite hunting, is deer and squirrel, also loves fishing. Target practices ALL the time. Loves riding horses, best thing there, it's her neighbors horses. Lol ! And she handles a back-hoe, dump truck, and a Dixie Chopper with the best of them. Her husband is self employed, he's a Certified / Liscensed Trapper with the state of Indiana.

Couple more pictures... #1, Leslie checking her mail.... nothing in site. #2 Not to far to get some corn.. nothing in site. #3 shot from the back yard.. nothing in site.

If you look North, East or West from her house, it's farm land as far as the eye can see.. South, you can ALMOST see the neighbors house. LMAO! At night time, when they're outside, she carries a 9mm pistol, lots of coyotes. Oh, make that picture #4, 9mm with pink grips.

Gods country for sure, we love to vist out there. It may be a day or two before one car goes down their road. Lol !

A historical obscure factoid:
for the illustration of the BOB group only !
this particular Sopwith Camel was shot down
over enemy lines in Germany and captured
by Oberleutnant Schumkelfarber near the city
of Wurzburg.The date was 25th April 1917.
Here is the Oberleutnant getting
ready to TEST a British Camel, waiting for
the wings to be attached. The end result of this
experiment was that the pilot flew the Camel
back over the lines, defected and went to live
in the USA, where he lived a happy and secure
existence.
so NOW you know ! []

Well, we were unfortunate with this big snow storm yesterday here in the East. We got a total of 1 inch! LOL. I really like to get one good snow storm of at least 12 inches or more. Me and the kids like to make large snow piles and tunnel through them! I know, call me crazy. Hope you all had a great day and got some flying in!

Hey Guys,

There are some "new to me" gloves for cold weather. They are called "Freehands Gloves". The fingers come out when needed to you can handle your radio or use your phone then zippidy do da you finger slip right back in.

Hey Jim, Luck you with hardly any snow lol.

We have rain coming back Tuesday so I ran up to the club field to sneak a few flights in. I got 2-400s, 1-500-1-600 flight in. There were several guys there and it was great just to jaw a bit too.

They called for snow here, we got it, I wouldn't even start my tractor to plow an inch of standing powder....ain't worth the gas I'd burn. Personally, it ain't snow less you're looking at 18-24" standing....that's where it STARTS. Real snow (lake effect I grew up with), 30-40" at a crack....man, that was snow....I shoveled a LOT of it by hand. Now I use a Ford 861 PowerMaster with a 5spd manual, front bucket and 8ft grader blade behind. When we get 20"+, then it becomes a little like work.

Yeah, why would those guys out in sunny CA need gloves anyhow??!! BTW, JPEE whose T28 do you own? I'm looking for an electric warbird I can use on the local soccer fields. I actually really got to like the Parkzone Bf 109. It's my top choice right now but I'm wondering if it might be too big?

Vic- I used to vacation up in the snow belt of Lake Ontario (Old Forge, NY). Me and about 8 friends used to go snowmobiling for a week up there every year. Now THAT was living!

I didn't need to drive anywhere...Lots of STATE land to ride, and we did as a kid.

I was stationed at 32ndST Naval base in San Diego. I remember one night walking back to the base and it was 47deg....thought I was gonna freeze to death (it was winter). It's 30deg here today, I'm walking around with out a jacket...feels warm compared to last week.
