I was flying my blade cx2 today in my living room and went to rotate left and it didnt do any thing it just hovered there in the same spot. It rotates to the right really fast. What could be the problem?[sm=confused.gif]
Thanks,Tyler

Did you check you proportinal gain? What about the trimmer on the controller? Do your shafts wobble? Check to make sure none of the locking collars on the upper hub and lower gears are slipping.
We would need a little more detail, Like if you just had a crash or changed anything like the blades.
If it was flying fine and just did this out of the blue then I would say it might be one of your motors.

I have had that same problem. Sometimes it wouldn;t turn either way. I realized the gain pot was turned all the way down so I cranked it up and don;pt have that problem anymore, plus it turns pretty damn quick now.

My CX2 has done this since day one out of the box. Yaws CW like a banshee, CCW very slow. I did a very detailed inspection of everything mechanical as suggested by all in the forums. I am convinced it is a 3 in 1 issue.

mechE,
Test your 3-1 then. Test each motor outlet with a voltmeter. They should read 8.4v each at full throttle and both leads should read the same as you level up. Be VERY VERY! VERY!!!!!!!!! carefull not to cross pins or you will FRY it.

eat2muchrice,
Thanks. I will give that a try when I get some time. For now I have just been flying the heck out of it and making a bunch of CW turns
I will keep your warning in mind!

Not to hijack the thread, but I too have a turning question.
My tail seems to "snap" in line after releasing the stick, will lowering the gain make it a little more "softer?"

I'd say that is a good thing? Means your Bird is flying with precision.
If it responded slower to releasing the stock, it could be said it was flying "sloppy", and how can it be flown "tighter"?
You could go easier/slower on the Tx stick, for smoother rotations/travel?

@ Tyler,
If you reduce Throttle slightly, just as you begin to rotate left or right do you find it rotates better then??
I'd say double check your swashplate level, and ensure your Gain and Proportial Pots are roughly centered.

Its the Blades. Check your blades again. Also make sure you balance and track them.

If that doesn't fix it then check for bent shafts and bad bearings.

If you still have the problem then its probably your motors. How old is it?

Sweet. I'm glad to hear your problems are solved.D@mn blades are always a trouble. Even after you check, boil,#match, balance and track they still sometimes have bad ones, and no two sets will every fly the same.
