Mnevzat,

Very nice work fitting the engine and pipe in the airplane and great job overall. Let us know how it flies.

That 140Rx hard mounted, is going to vibrate the hell out of the airframe. You should consider some sort of soft mounting for the engine and pipe.... A Hyde type soft mount and nose ring would be the easiest install based on your pictures. Budd Engineering also have a suitable solution.

Cheers,
Jason.

Jason,
Many thanks for your interest and inquiries.

I have built firewall 3*4mm plywood laminate.

The pipe coupling to engine two O-ring and with bed. And draws two spring. No any hard connection.

Do you think, can I still change?

I'm sorry for my not very well English.

Having run the OS 140RX for a number of years (and the YS's).....back in the 2000"ish.....I would definitely soft mount the pipe and the engine....otherwise I don't think the electronics would be happy for very long.

To really get the ultra low weights Jeff is known for, you will need to select the best and lightest balsa you can get. I know Jeff is extremely picky about what he uses.

Good morning Steve. (Good evening about of here.)

I don't know, will it be enough my English to tell them ?

Balsa sheets for this work to be of medium hardness. Separetly you have to need 3mm plywood for canopy and cowling of main carrier.

Steve, I say here is topic for Jeff and we don't contaminate here. If you want subscribe to below link, you can look through my works and we can comment on them and I can explain some things on them.

Roadrunner,

Arch is correct, the absolute lightest balsa wood is critical to achieving the lightest weight. I order an extra 25% of the wood I need, and then I weight each sheet before I use it in the airplane. As an example, I saved 1.5 ounces just by selecting the lightest four sheets to make the fuselage sides. Those grams saved here and there add up over the course of a build. The difference between 10 pounds 14 ounces and 10 pounds 2 ounces is very noticable.

Dale,

The wing tube is 7/8" from F3A Unlimited. To put the outrunner in, you will have to use the firewall labeled Plett F-2. The exact position may have to be adjusted slightly to fit your motor.

Thanks Jeff for the reply, The only one I see has fiberglass sleeve is that the one? When I talked to Don from eureka he said he was running behind and it would probably be three to five weeks to get the kit. I will start getting everything together to start the build. Thanks again.
