People use elements from color schemes and outright copy them all the time.

You should be flattered that this airplane looks like your Spark instead of getting defensive and jumping down people's throats all the time. It gets old. If you're not the designer, why are you so hyper focused on thinking people are stealing this airplane design or anything related to it?

I really don't mean to be so brash, but you seem to be very pervasive in threads as a whistle blower.

I think it looks good, and whoever painted it (Larry or JR) did a very nice job.

Well it is easy to make a new plane that flies well, if you just copy somebody plane, even it is cheap because there is quite a huge savings in R&D costs, not only is the plane a copy even the colourscheme should be a copy, I wonder why? thrying to fool people thinking it is the right stuff and not a copy.

Normally You US people pretend to be so carefull about copies, just look at the DA versus DL issue, just trying to say that I think it is wrong to copi so closely as Delro has done, I know what I would have done if I where the designer of the SPARK sued Delro for stealing.

It happens so that I'm flying the SPARK production plane and the LAST PROTOTYPE SPARK, and still come with my inputs to the designer, that's why.

Look at the wing. Does the wing of the Spark seem a little different to you? I seen lotsof foamies with stepped leading edges before the Spark. See anyboby complaining about that?
All pattern planes are so similar that to say there copies is telling the truth. The Spark is a copy of previous designs. It's part of the evoulution. Most new designs are tweaks.Either way who really cares?
Sue???? Say what??? I'd love to see the settlement.Let's see it couldbe 2 glow plugs and a prop wrench. This hobby is not that big a deal. Come on Bla Bla confess.

Everything is a copy in this hobby. That said, I really don't see the similarity with the spark at all. they are about as similar as any other two recent electric designs out there.
I just wish there were more "copies" out there. Anyone want to "copy" the Miss Wind bipe?? How about the "Amethyst"?? I'm waiting. I guess you could say that they were copies of the Adventure or Narlar? Anyway, I'd love to see some "copies" of those.
I think "copies" of airframes are the best thing for our hobby. They all add variety and push the development progress along. We'd be in a pretty sad state if it weren't for "copies".

I think we all need to start flying planes with multiple wings and stabs...if we keep flying monoplanes we are only copying the pattern designs from years ago. Maybe we all need to send royalty checks to the guy who built the first flying model airplane years ago.

All of these planes are similiar because of their function. We are all using symmetrical wings, maybe someone should've copyrighted those, even though there are slight deviations in the actual airfoil. The colors on my plane are the colors that Dave Villwok flew on a Hydeout a few years ago...I guess I need to sand my plane down and start over.

All of these planes take design elements from each other. It is the nature of the beast. I saw a profile drawing of a Passport and Black Magic V3 a few weeks ago and ya know what..they are VERY similar. The Passport is more rounded, but wing and stab locations were VERY close. Does this mean one is a copy of the other, NO, it means though that they have very similar performance as they are designed for similar jobs. Chip and I are very close and he as well as Mike Hester found it funny that 2 designs that came out around the same time, from two different guys on opposite sides of the country ended up so close.

Since you are in Europe maybe you need to talk to the F1 guys since all of their cars have wings on the tail and nose. Looks to me like they are all copying each other.

They are identical - 2 plug-in wings, stabs, rudder... and fuselage. It definitelylooks about the same as the Spark, Sickle, Xigris, Alliance, Osmose, Element, Angels Shadow... I could go on...

If you can't afford the oríginal, then buy a DELRO its a cheap copy, even the colour scheme is a copy, I think I have some pictures of the wings.

First 4 flights were made today. I got a few minutes on the transmitter and it is a very smoooooth flying plane. Very precise and it tracks extremely well. Finished weight was 10lb and 10oz as shown with Pletty EVO motor and Castle 85HV controller and True RC 10C5000mah packs. I may have to build one later this summer to use as a demonstrator plane like my Addiction.

WOW what a GREAT Sunday afternoon@ the field. It not very often that one get a chance to fly a new plane on it's second flight. The E-Motion and the Addiction. I'm hooked! After seeing Larry take off and putting it thyur it's flight, seems like he had been flying it for weeks. Next was Chris turn at the stick while Larry just stood there just looking at his great piece of work in the air. Finally my trun, Larry handed the radio. over to me.
Talk about a stable airplane just like been flying for ever. Tracking was dead on where you wanted it stayed. Rolls were effortlessly, I saw Larry do two then three it never moved from it's heading. I had to try it also but I got me two rolls in ( which I could do them that good @ a contest).
Vertical and down line on a rail, this is my third flight with elctric been warned about how they slow down. No problem that penlty ot time to do all element on down lines.
I did get a chance to see this kit when Larry first got it. the Quality and Workmanship was Second to NONE! Larry did a great job building and covering this plane . Well he did get a little help in painting :0
After sitting out in the hot sun all afternoon there was not a single wrinkle on the covering. I would like to THANK , Larry for letting me experience the the chance to be among the first three to fly his plane.
Jr

Ps Bill you missed it by one weekend.

I watched Larry fly it this past weekend, one round on Sunday. The plane looks to fly very well with very little set up in it. I didn't fly and I did not ask, as it's his NATS plane,...maybe after the NATS. If it flies anything like the Addiction,..it will be an AWESOME plane,....saving my pennies to do an Addiction EP and another VF3.
