Hey,
Did you happen to inspect the wires that exit the Telebee to see if they are fraying? I was having similar problems and found that those wires were all exposed from their sleeves and touching each other. I did a little fixey-poo and it fixed the problem. I still know that I fly better than my Telebee will allow, but it's still working well enough to hold the tail as long as i don't try and get too crazy with the sticks.
Let us know Shee if that XM Gyro is worth it. Maybe I will buy myself another present...
Peace on...well, whatever planet you guys are from!

The TELEBEE gyro is causing the glitching, and this is the second telebee I've had that's been BAD in less than 6 months.....I'm done with Telebee.

Cool. Here's an old picture of my tattoo. It's all messed up now.
I took the EXI out yesterday after drinking a large quantity of strong coffee and I must have hit 50 mph diving out of some banking turns. That thing was COOKING.

I found the indexing glitch to be a setting on the Telebee....it's fine now, I dialed out the indexing glitch. Now I got the 401b comming which is OK. I have all the stuff to complete ANOTHER EXI-450 (LMAO).

Here's those metal gear servos I was blathering about. They seem pretty nice. I'm putting one on the tail of my current EXI and everywhere on the EXI I am building.

That gyro should be good. If it works as well as the older one then it will be fine. The one I have is on their site for $32 and the new one (401b) is $34. Use a digital servo if you can besause that makes a hugh difference.

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
I have a EXI 450 pro...cnc/carbon fiber. These mechanics are in a Heli Artist Hughes 500D the blue green light blue white color. I have Corona digital metal gear micro servos on cyclic. I bought an MKS 8910 avcs fast digital for tail. The servo does 60 degrees in .054 second, according to manufacturers specification. Now I have to have a 760 us AVCS gyro. I think I'm using the Assan GY410. Reason is, the servo is not compatible with the Futaba GY410. Both gyros are avcs digital.
My question for this post is: Do these servos (8910) work without a avcs gyro or not at all on just the receiver? I assume the pulse width and center pulse width are different for this servo, or that it should need to be programmed. Why doesn't my servo work? I'm using an AR6100 receiver and DX7 transmitter...DSM2.
The sample rate of the 8910 is 760 us. Rotation is faster that the Futaba 9657, so it is claimed. Do other people use the 8910 or Should They? Seems like a great tail rotor servo, and it is not too big or too heavy for a 450 heli.
So far I love the EXI mechanics and everything but the gyro is installed.

From Blusaber1:
For a great inxpensive gyro I just picked up this one and am very pleased with it for the price. My only other experience with gyros is the 2100t and this one hold just as good for one third the price

Pretty good thread on it here:

Anyhoo check out the gyro you might like it
Gary(Blusaber1)
I still want full reports on all of your installs of this Gyro...

Z.... that's a GOOD piece of news being I just bought one sight unseen. Sounds like I might like it BETTER than the Telebee (which is OK....I guess).
Note to the Doc......I really don't think many of us are using what you use and it's pretty hard to give an answer that would be of a nature of intellegence (LMAO). We're pretty much "dollar store commandos" here, we buy the cheapest that works the best, and sometimes, the cheapest ends up being the best (T-Rex vs EXI-450 for example).

That said I have a hard time believing that any servo could beat the 9257.

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
Are they faster than the GR2843Z Razor servo??? they are blaz'n fast... even faster than dark... operating on a tight pulse series and are still able to communicate with other brands of Rx's and gyro's because of its ability to compress the other's signal down into its own bandwidth.. seamlessly integrating and sensing which algorithmic processes to use for the best or optimal usage of resources. They also have the fastest time\torque\travel ( TTT ) of just about all servos' out there including the Curtis OldBlood and Futabya's... the best part of course is the cost and at $8.99 per you couldn't find a better digital\analogue servo anywhere that incorporates BS technology... Broad Signal...

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
Hey Zim... I just ordered one of those Gyro's as well... cost me $44.50 including shipping so its cheaper than the Telebee at $49.00 before shipping... Time will tell just how good it is but from what I've seen in the RCGroups forum thread it appears most people are very happy with it... Def worth the money if it works equally as well or better than the Telebee...
Thanks for the heads up on that one...
happy Holidays and fly'n of course... for those that can fly... sigh!!!

Well now mr DD I think I just sprouted rabbit ears Imagine my chagrin as in my ever lasting search for heli knowledge I did a google SEARCH on the now famous RAZOR FASTER than dark tail servo. Now I says to myself it must be faster than my .05 second wonder I currently use, as it can not beat the dark. Alas my really fast google search turned up
NADA. Gonna go grab soe carrots now....... OH And I think you guys wil be happy with the XM Gyro

I think you'll find that most of us are pretty much "off center" (LMAO).
