Chances are it will be fine with the head out like that. You won't find out until you fly it.

OK guys Merry Christmas, Christmas eve spent wrapping the last few gifts, then FINISHED the mini tele the OS 10LA is installed per the mock up , made both wings non aileron and aileron the aileron has a 30oz servo 22 oz on rudder and elevator and a little sub micro
12 oz for throttle, there was an issue slop, in the rudder and elevator this was caused by bowing of the tubes, going thru the bottom for access secured then to a former and end of issue, 3 oz hayes tank also added 1/8 square bass wood along to sides of fus at top really
no flex there now 3 oz hayes tank perfect fit also went to 2 1/2 lt wt wheels. clevis to rudder and elevator sullivan 2 mm got rid the the plastic ones, 1/8 triangle stock rounded edges where rudder glued to stab no flex here, out of time so got to sign off and get on with Christmas, will post pix later ,yes berg mini 4 channel rec, battery under servo tray balance perfect no weights needed martin

again a great Christmas to all

Final touchs on the mini tele decided ti run the exhaust all the way to the rear 5/16 thin wall Al. tubing (tip) by mounting the dubro exhaust deflector backwards long end to the muffler
you do not need to put a sweep in the tubing lines up perfect with bottom of Fus. 2 brackets bent up and screwed to body hold it fine just a very slight bend to clear elevator horn. I also use J and B weld as a cement to the exhaust on the OS 10 and a quick tie no slip or leaks here will post a pix but left my camera at our inlaws on Chistmas have to get back martin
finally a pix 10x4 wood topflite prop lots of pull only turning 8200 but quiet
will drop to a 9x4 to get the rpms up a bit but thing will fly fine on the 10 incher note I put the OS Max 10 conversion in
will bench the LA10 not quite right, there is a carb issue we had an exhaust leak it was running down the gear and over the wheel that is resolved now nice and dry

thats a nice job extending the exhaust. but what will you do when the plane goes backwards!?!? haha. open a port on the front of the exhaust...??

i need to do one of these conversions for that SE5A from electrifly. perhaps i could find a bearcat about that size.
looks good. can't wait to find out how it flies.

The engine is the one you now have. I swapped to a TT .15 glow (mistake)

This thread has been a lot of fun to follow, but the airplane is too big for my current taste. There is an electric Micro Telemaster with a 35.5 inch span, but that's still too big! What I'd want is a SubMicro Telemaster with a 28" to 30" span for my PAW 55 BR. You guys are making me feel like I'm kibitzing on a giant scale forum!

Finally broke down and ordered the Micro Telemaster kit. I'll have the plans copied and make a couple of reductions to 85% and 80% as well to lay smaller components on and ponder. When I get some time to build the kit later in the semester I will figure out whether to use an .03 or an .049 depending on how the build weight numbers start adding up.
