Hangar 9 Twist 3D
#776
I know this has most likely been brought up a thousand times, but here I go anyway. I have a .46 engine on my TWIST and was wondering what a good propeller size would work best for it. (Tower Pro .46 2-Stroke)
Thank You in advance!!

Letuce,
Sorry about my ignorance, but what is the MAR/C Club? I am not in any club right now. So far I only fly at the SASS field in 60 Acre park in Kirkland.

Dave,
The whole electric power system cost me roughly $500. Of course I just pulled most of it from my helicopter. The only thing I had to buy was the Phasor 45/3 motor which cost $150. Recycling is good.

i don't have any idea,gree-grose recomended it, we fly at he same field, he has one on a v-max .46 and it will hang on the prop with no problem, and i tried a 10/6 just to see what it would do, all it done was climb and trimed it out and it still climb, and was going to fast for tricks.(for me anyway, been flying for 3 months).
i'll get with ghee and see what rpm he's geting on his vmax.

I don't know how people measure RPM's....maybe a machine or something???? I don't have one of those.
I will put it to you this way, at idle if you get your finger in the prop it will hit you about 3 times before you can get it out! [X(]

I will fly between 23 and 26 minutes on a full tank....that's mostly at full throttle. I like to do alot of landings, so there is some idle in there too.

3 fingers.... that's about how many I have left! (just kidding) Those APC props are SHARP!!!![:@] I sand down the edges of mine just for a little safety.

yes they are sharp ! They make little digital tachs that you can get to hold either behind or in front of the prop and it will tell you what the RPM's are.......preferably behind the prop cause its safer

Sounds like you might need to go down to where Ghee Gross is at with your first aid kit.....ummm, might want to take the jaws of life just in case the prop was to twist him up and intangle him in the prop so you could get him out LOL
