Whare can you find the SV 26 I could use it on my 80" Chipmunk
Sent you a PM with that info. I just checked and it is listed at $149.99 right now.

I also like my DL-50. (there, I used DL-50 in a sentence for the thread.)

Just messin' with ya, Bosco.... there are "rules", but I honestly don't know what they are, if they apply, or if they would be "enforced".
How many times can we cover how to break in a DL 50, or what prop to use, anyway???? I think on some topics (mixture needle settings) we're probably on the 40th go round....

It's all good, I think....

Mine are up for sale at the moment.... and no, I'm not buying an SV....

As Bob said I think there is some type of rule, but being the gearheads we are it is not hard to get off topic a bit. Kinda like a kid in a candy store.

Well, I did it! I got my Richmodel Yak 50cc out on her first flight this morning. Got the DL primed, popped and pulling. All up she's in at 21 lbs. The DL is idleing at 15-16 and I'm keeping it at 69 for now. I got the blurb also but it might be my needles (haven't touch them yet).

You guys should've seem my thumbs. If it wasn't for bones, they would've shook right off hands.....

As for the bird... one click up elev and she was blurbing around the California skys. I have a Vess 22B up front. Seems to be working good, I wouldn't know the difference because this is my first gaser.

Congrats on the maiden. If you read back there are some good posts on tuning the needles. Mine had the burbs at first, but once I leaned out the high and low it ran perfect with no burbling.

I read all the discussions on what prop to use on our DL50's, but I don't understand the reasons for going to a 23x8 from a 22x8, particularly for 3D. It seems to me the rpm's would be down, but does the bigger prop provide more air flow over the control surfaces or what. It's probably Propeller 101 for a lot of you, but it's Greek to me.

For 3D you want thrust and the DL50 delivers most trust somewhere in the 6000 rpm range. So prop your engine once it's broken in for about 7000 to 7200 rpm, 8 or 10 pitch. My DL50 does 7750 rpm on a Vess 22A, 7150 rpm on the 23B and it's still breaking in. Couldn't fly much because of the windy FL weather and more to come [&o]

If you have a homedepot close by you can get lawnboy there. That's where I got my last batch of it from.

Not all Home Depots carry it unfortunately...

@switch26 Ordering online is cheaper than driving to Home Depot. I also ordered my Amsoil Saber online, 2 quarters.

Great job. What kind of camera do you use? Seems like it has a macro lens on it.
Small Canon Ixus 90 digital - flash off, macro mode on. Works nice.
