Well I can't exactly recall... seems to me the odd size like 5/32 or 11/64...
Best way to be happy with your selection is to drill a piece of scrap cowl (maybe fron the coolin cutout) and drill a selection of holes and try them out. You want the grommet to JUST fit the interior, maybe a smidge bigger than the hole.

David, 11/64 was the charm. I wonder how long these gromets will last before the cowl eats through them. thats usually what happens, and if you don't catch it in time, the screw starts hogging out the hole. I wonder if Chris can tell us where to buy a couple dozen of the white gromets so a guy could change them every couple weeks.l

jrjohn, would it be a good idea to put a piece of brass tubing through the grommet, and maybe that would help? I have never tried it, but I my do that. Something similar to the way the brass grommets go in our servo rubbers.

Question for you guys using the 4" Tru Turn spinner. I ordered one with a Menz/Mejzlik cut, but I don't have my prop yet, so I was wondering if someone could tell me if the spinner cut looks correct. I would like to be able to run my MSC prop also, and the cut just doesn't look like Tru Turn's pic and it doesn't look big enough to me.
Your help is appreciated!

I do not know what everyone else does, but I always leave my spring attached on the carb just in case of this.

Since we are sharing mishaps... let me share mine. We no sooner than got my Yak in the air then the throttle linkage came disconnected. Fortunately it was at a low speed, so 35 minutes later, when the gas ran out, we dead sticked it in.

JrJohn, today is the 4th day of chemo... doing pretty good... not too much sickness from it yet. There will be a steep decline in how I feel in about a week. I have 2 more days of it before the transplant.

For the cowl mount cut some CA hinges and CA them inside the cowl screw holes. It prevents the screws to eat and crack the cowl.
Of coures you have the rubber gourmets but CA hinges work good as a second means or protecting the cowl.
I learned this trick in RCU and it works.

The threads on the dot bottom out before it actually tightens into the cowl. The wood takes care of that.
I wouldnt recomend putting the fuel lines anywhere near the foam. One leak and your gonna have problems.
