Mike,

I appreciate the kind words. I am sorry I put you on the spot.

Jim

It's a shame that more people don't know about your product.

OF, right now we have about 22 inches of snow on the ground and its about 14 degrees, my wifes car sat stuck about a half mile from our house all night Saturday night.

Here is a shot of Horizons 90 degree adapter compared to Jims 90, the Horizon one has the threads cut off square and breaks where they end Jims is flaired and does not break.

aluminium is more affected by vibration than high carbon steel. (altho i seriosly doubt they use the BEST steel). the radius keeps a stress crack from forming. There is no corner, therefore no place for a crack to start. I dont know if that was intentional or not. but it shows good manufacturing. i'll bet the steel elbow broke right up against the shoulder at the end of the thread.

Look inside the exhaust opening, you'll see an allen head or torx bolt head. the nut at the other end of the muffler is the nut on THAT bolt
didnt see the part about falling off.....lmao.
atleast theres a bolt on all but one of mine. that one still has an OS style muff.

Charlie,

You are correct. The radius distributes the loads and does not create a stress point.

w8ye, look what i got in the mail today! I am like a kid on Christmas morning.

They are cool. I just recently became interested in them. I think more will be finding their way to my doorstep. This one is in new condition.

A friend has one of these early 40's. If you ever find a source for the piston (21mm and not the newer 22mm) please let me know.

They are lovely engines and have a beautiful idle.

I have a 91 golden knight in a redone hanger nine p51. Man does the sound and power get any better than that? Kind of preaching to the chorus I know. I have a new 100 with a Keleo exhaust to rework the plane this summer.

Can you give us some pics and let all know how it went?

All overpowered saito flying today but went well enough. The cm-pro midget is called the red lawn dart over here, the 115 sounds good in it and i only shaved the prop a tiny bit on takeoff. Are you guys running them as rich as or will you risk a lean run on a coarse prop?..changing a rear bearing and front on the 115 tomorrow.Running a 15x8 instead of the 14x10 today because i bent the good one last week.Any advice appreciated.

Saito FA-100
Has anybody got one of those. I've been looking at one of those for a Top Flite Cessna 182 Skylane. What I am missing is the distance from the front end of the drive hub to the forward end of the valve covers.
Thank You
Mikael
