It's already begun.

Hey maarten,

I got AFPD a few days ago or so, and ive been practicing hovering with the edge foamy, the blue one with checkerd paint, and Im getting better at holding it vertical, but i still cant get it quite right. How did you learn to hover? Just practice alot? I got to say, AFPD is VERY realistic in flying and also has already made my skills much better. Its well worth the investment in this software!

Kickflipkid687,

Did you program the tx like I did and did u use the same settings as mine? Then it should be quite realistic. If you can hover a shocky in real, then it shoudn't be a problem on aerofly pro deluxe.

Well, I got a extra 300L in real life, and i set the same exp. and epa as what i use on it. It seems very similar, but i didnt enter my planes weight or thrust or anything, because i dont know it. I can hover better now on the sim then in real life.

Don't thrust the your own settings of your real shockflyer. The parameters on a sim and in real live aren't the same. Just try it the settings I use, and from that point start changing things to your own feeling.[8D]

are the settings you use like how the plane flies before modding it, or adding epa, expo? Otherwise it wont be the same as my real life one.

Doc!! Thanks so much for your input to this group! I know I speak for everyone when I say your flying is an inspiration.

So as a very new flyer I read these post and noticed people refering to your maneuvers by names. Is there a place where one can learn of these maneuvers what is expected in competition?

Thanks again!

Maarten, How are you? I finally got my AFPD an few days ago and as I suspected it wouldn't run on my system. I built a new computer in less than 2 hours and had the simulator running. I just came in from flying with my buddies at a local indoor sports center. I didn't have a shocky ready so I flew my Watt Age Micro Flyer. I was flying that thing around like a pro even ROG take off and landings all due to practicing with AeroFly. I'll follow up with a few pictures after I load my smart card reader driver. I'm changing over to a SATA Hard Drive tomorrow and re-installing the OpSys and drivers.
To all those interested in AFP/D but don't think you have the computer to run it. You can get a barebones computer kit starting around $300 bucks. you can reuse your existing monitor, HD, keayboard, mouse, floppy, and optical drive (maybe graphics card) you can have a nice system to run this simulator as well as all up to date software. If you a fearful of building you own computer send me a message I'll try to help.

Maarten my question is; do you know of a download for a larger indoor flying facility in AFPD or is there a patch to close the bleachers in the Gymnasium.

Maarten,

Could you tell me which Heli you prefer for 3d and what settings you use for it. I fly a raptor 50 and I really want to learn to do pyro flips and tic-tocs but have no idea how to do them. If you could explain them to me that would be great as no one in my club does 3D.

Thanks

Fred

okay I love to fly the new Heli60 in AFPD. No actually I don't like to fly heli's, but someone has to fly them for afpd so that's me. I had to practice a bit though
I have some very interesting scheme's to learn this tricks. Can I uploads pdf files? Apparently not. I can email them to you too if you like.

Don't fly my mode, mode 1 for heli's! Mode 2 and 3 is alot easier! If you want' to fly airplanes fly mode 1or 4 !

Maarten,

Love your setups for the other planes. Would you mind posting your setup for the 79" Yak54 Profile, and the 65" if you fly them both ??

Thanks.

Hey marteen took me a damn long time to read through the whole forum. Your a popular guy. What kind of servos are you using on your real shocky and can the typhoon 6/3D be flown outdoors?

Alfster,

i'll post the setings for the 65" yak later today, but here are the settings for the 79" yak: tot. weight: 4697gr
defl.: 60° on all surfaces
propwash: 55 on rolls 65 on elevator 100 on rudder
CG: -5.6 cm
max power: 2.2 KW 25% torque prop: 20-8

srq123Cohen,
I use these tiny servo's I bought at http://www.mamo-modelltechnik.com/cg...15&rub1=Servos
Their cheap, very light and fast. But they don't last longer then 5 months

xlpro,

You can download them here if you're a member of the aerowlypro.com forum
