The GB ultimate is another great plane and one I have never built. I have seen over a hundred of them i'm sure over the years, but when they was the in thing to have I wanted something out of the ordinary so I went with the sandbolt er I mean skybolt.
While it is a great plane in itself the Ultimate I believe is better. Have fun in both building and flying it.
One word of caution bipes don't fly quite the same a a single wing sport flyer.

Flew the midstar today. Flew awesome. Very aerobatic compared to before the midair crash. No dihedral, 6" shorter wingspan, taildragger, and 3/4 of a pound lighter. Over 15 planes flew in 17 degree weather and light snow. Plane cartwheeled on landing when the wheels stuck in the snow, nosed over and the wind blew it into a cartwheel. No damage except a broken elevator hinge. Already fixed. Now I have a plane to practice up on for the Extra!

Well fellows, after 38 years of flying glow I've decided to move totally to electric. I guess this means my Goldberg Extra and two kits are for sale. The finished plane is powered with a gently used Saito 100, covered with coverite and dope. $400 receiver ready, pickup only in AZ. The kits are $180 shipped to the lower 48 and $190 for the one with the glass cowl. I'll be putting them in the marketplace soon.

Yep, what Al is showing!!!! TEMPLATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looking like anything CG is going to get the ax as long as tower owns them. Now I want to see them say that kit wasn't selling!!!
Only one of the all time greats. Without templates it's another gone bird.

To much instant gratification, nobody wants to spend the time building now days when they can open a box and have a plane together in just a few hours or less. Over the years I have spent a many a dollar at Tower but it keeps getting to be less and less and if they keep this crap up it will be none, most of the time I can't get what I really want there anymore due to there discontinued product lines and I am not talking about just aircraft either.
When the big take over happened tower went thru and rasied every price on everything they carried and not by a small margin either.
They buy out the GB line and discontinue it, what a nice way to promote there own kits. Don't get me wrong I do like GP kits, but I also liked many others that are now not available due to such practices as this.
I don't even see a lainier ARF or Kit in the place, maybe I didn't look hard enough but it just stands to reason.
I was told 20 years ago that GP was trying to monoplized the aircraft kit industry and now I can believe it.
If I seem a little bit bent out of shape, thats because I am!!!!!!!!
