Sig Astro Hog "Engine recomendations

Mounting the servos is not the problem. I will have to cut into the wing so I can run the wires towards the center and then out where the original servo hole is. Those four or so ribs will have to have holes in them so the wires can run thru. That is exactly what I did on my buddy's wing.

I under stand....you have to have a path for the servo wires. That's gonna be a pain in the butt. but will be worth it in the end. I know, easy for me to say ! LOL !
Before you start cutting, try it with ONE servo. maybe you'll like it. Just don't pull to many "G"'s

I crashed my Astro Hog last night into a million pieces!! I was doing a full speed slow roll 10 feet off the ground and the batteries went dead. I was sick to my stomach!
Then I woke up from my "dream" and my Astro Hog was still in one piece and ready for more action!!
I love my astro hog!

I have a Hog that origanly had an os 91 one it and that combo was perfect buit I eventually needed the 91 for something else and subbed for a 70 os surpase and it still flies fine with it, all off grass. I used a aluminum gear bolted on in front of the wing l.e. and it works great. Just keep the axle at least 1" in front of the L.E.

Hmmmmmm, Maybe I just was lazy, or lucky, but I was given an Astro Hog that already had dual aileron servos built into it. I just added an OS 46 LA and went flying....Some say it's not enuff power, but sometimes I'll spend the afternoon shooting crash and dashes for a half hour or so....My leg gets tired before I run out of gas, usually.

Hell, Clint. If you remember, Back in the "Olden Days" , we flew the Hog with .35's (Torpedeos). The Hog was a lot heavier then, carrying those huge Bonner Servos and batteries... Still it was a joy to fly. The kids today want to hang it on the prop LOL !
Disregard verbage below, I could not delete it !

0 ! And they were carrying lots heavier radio gear than todays stuff. Big servos and bigger batteries. Remember? It was just a joy to fly.The kids today want to hang it on the prop!! lol!

Thank you.
The colors are cub yellow and insignia blue monocote. I love the sound of the OS 70 Surpass ll 4 Stroke I stuck on it. Nicest plane I have ever had as far as looks and flying.
You're gonna love it!

The 70 is enough to get it up and around but it won't bore any holes in the sky. For realistic sunday flying it's great but other than that I'd stick an OS 91 F-Stroke on it if I was to build another one.
I'm not really into tearing up the skys with this more realistic looking plane, so I guess I'm satisfied with the 70 as for now.
It is a fun plane to fly though. I really beleive a beginner could learn on it, it's that easy to takeoff, fly and land. Gentle as a kitten that looks great on the ground or in the air and quite aerobatic if you have the experience to make it do what you want.
One of the best flyers in our club flew mine and said he'd really like to have one of these. He flys his large P-51 full bore 5 feet off the ground as he does a nice slow roll! That's Awesome! He was pleased with the 70 I have on mine.

As far as me having a 4 stroke on mine, I couldn't be any happier from the sound it produces.
