Default Sky Surfer! RTF Brushed version question

Hey guys I just recently purchased a Blitz RC Sky Surfer for my son for his birthday. There were a few problems with it but I managed to fix them all except one. This version has the brushed motor and ESC. Normally setting up would be no issue on my 9303 but the radio it came with is 2.4 bare bones. All servos are set and are fine.

The problem I am having is when I push the button to activate the esc and motor it begins to spin at low RPM. I have the trim all the way at the bottom and it is not enough to stop the motor. Normally I would adjust through the radio but seeing this radio is bar bones and only has servo reverse what options are there? Is there any way to bind again and maybe set it to zero? I am stumped on this one and have no clue on how to adjust this. Any help or suggestions would be great guys. Hopefully some have seen this and found a way to correct.

Thanks!

Stay away from Banana Hobby. They seem very amateur conducting their business. Stay away from the clone "Sky Surfer" ..it's crap.Yes you can make it flyable, but you need to spend a couple of hours reinforcing wings, reapply glue..etc. Mine was a brushless version , very disappointed. There is basically no customer support as other mentioned too. Their shipping rates suck and their products as well.   <div>I guess the name Banana Hobby says everything. </div><div>I paid $146 with S&amp;H..you are better of with www.hobbyking.com. </div><div>Regarding your problem: the transmitter is a Chinese piece of crap. You might as well throw it away. It caused me to loose control in less than 200 feet. I replaced it with Optima 6.Again, stay away from Banana Hobby.</div><div>

I bought an AT-6 from bannahobby and it was a little under powered, but I upgraded to brushless with parts from Hobbycity.com for less than $30.00 including the esc, motor, prop and 3s lipo and now she rocks!!!!! Very durable plane.

It's funny how people say "Chinese crap" when the "Brand name" stuff they are flying is made in "CHINA"[:@] I read about name brand planes, trucks and cars having issues all the time. There are whole threads on here about problems with "Name brand" stuff.

I will agree that most AM radios, no matter where they are made, don't have good range

It's not funny when you pay for something that only works once. I think people should know before putting money back into Chinese economy. Offering a product at a lower price has it's own competitive advantages as long as the product satisfies minimum quality standards. Not in my case.China is the new wave now, but just because they mass produce that doesn't mean we should take everything for granted. Everything comes with a cost and in this case the cost is quality..which qualifies it as...crap.<div>The brand names that are manufacturing in China apply quality standards and most of them are producing individual components.</div><div>Other brands use Taiwan which is much better in my opinion when it comes to electronics.</div><div>Read on other forums about Sky Surfer if you really wanna stay informed..or better, why don't you order one yourself ?!</div><div> </div><div>  </div>

The quality standards they are applying aren't working, if they were, there wouldn't be as many problems as there are. They are just ripping you off by charging you more and brainwashing you into thinking they put in the extra quality standards.

I would buy one if it was something I was interested in.

Like I said, my AT-6 is almost bullet proof. Very tough plane. I upgraded to brushless and it still cost me a TON less than the Similar T-28 cost.

Hello!

I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Sky Surfer. Please be sure that both the throttle stick and the throttle trim are in the lowest down position before turning on anything. Then turn on the transmitter first, then plug in the battery. Your motor should not be spinning until you throttle up or increase the throttle trim at that point. If the motor is still spinning, it is possible that the ESC maybe defective. If that is the case, please email me at [email protected] or PM me with your order information and I will have a replacement shipped right away! Additionally, here is a very helpful link regarding the Sky Surfer and its many, many owners:

I am very sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your Sky Surfer! It has many, many happy owners who have an extensive thread regarding its assembly, flight and modifications which I posted previously. You may want to take a look at that as it could potentially be helpful to you. Please let us know specifically what was defective on your Sky Surfer, as well as your order number and we will be happy to assist you in resolving the matter.

Thank you,

HelloSaralyn C. from Banana Hobby! Where were you when I asked for help?
I can only appreciate the fact that you are taking the right steps to improve your business by replying to negative posts..that's a good start.
What I think is prestige is the fact that...you've sent me a replacement transmitter...which was defective!! Right stick would not come back to neutral..How cool is that?!?!
Look.. HAVE some Customer Service available, try to bring more quality in your products, lower your profit margins until you have a nice customer base, better test your products (not just one time flight review for the sake of advertising) before offering them to the public, lower your shipping rates and shipping time and then you may have a good business. As of now there are a lot more better places than bananahobby. Happy customers will come back and angry customers will post negative comments.Hope you are going to do better in the future.Good luck!

That's alright, the damage is done...at this moment I don't need any help, but thanks, I solved the problem using my time and other parts, just let everybody know when you replenish the stock for parts. It looks you are out of stock for some time.Maybe you should consider selling a version without your tx/rx and battery.
