yes they are fast.and for a new driver they can be quite hard to control.but with time and pratice like every thing else in life it becomes more natural.and befor you know it your screamin around the track faster and faster.good luck
Thanks buggiedude420, I'm actually very excited of trying out my 1/8th buggies when I finally move/ settle in California this february. I can't wait to be in a little warmer weather coz being an Island boy like me makes me sick of being in a uber cold weather.

Happy Holidays and God Bless,
Jr.

WELL YOU NEED TO GRIND AWAY A LITTLE MATRIAL AROUND THE OPENING.NOT MUCH!AND THEN 45 DAGREE THE EDGES.THIS IS TO ALLOW THE WHEEL ON YOUR STARTER BOX NOT TO HIT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR CHASIS.SOUNDS WEIRD I KNOW BUT BELIVE ME YOU WANT TO DO IT.OR YOU WILL RUIN THE WHEEL ON YOUR STARTER BOX.[&o]THE REASON IS THAT THE OPENING ON THE PRO IS BIGGER

Make sure the battery connectors to the reciever is in it's slot. By the way, go to hobby shop tomorrow and buy 5 cell hump or flat pack of rechargeable batteries with futuba style connectors and install that with a new switch that has charge plug 3rd wire. You will get better response with servos and make it easier on you to charge and not have to rely on high cost batteries. I also used a Y-harness connector to plug new battery wire and throttle wire together and plugged in the throttle input on receiver. Gives higher voltage to servos and makes them turn faster. This tip is all over the forum so info is nothing new.

Rwong
normally it will be your clutch system you will have to inspect
or the bearings are dead or dirty
or the shoes need attention...

hey i have a question.. how long before i should check my diffs? i just got it on christmas and had about 20 tansk threw her...i dunno bout the engine getting hott.. maybe a huge cooling head..??i also wanna get a upgraded pipe they have a real nice carbon fiber one but i like the jp2.. i think i might have an issue witht he huge .26 in the racing scene, they said i might have to get a high powered .21 thta uses a starter box which i despise cause if i wanna go bashing across the street i dont wanna haul all that crap over there... i like the conveince of the roto start.. it might take away some perfromance but its worth it...i dont think ima race it that much to be worried about it

you should check them at least every 20 tanks
on new kits, check after a few tanks
or immediatly as some CAME almost empty
really racing every w.e or so
the lighter the oil, the most frequent you better check..
there are new shims to in a blue paper colour

the jp pipes will be large to fit in there on the mayhems sideguards

No problems at all with the Mayhem. I am sorry to hear about your troubles. This is one of the most "Rock Solid" buggies out there. You may have just been unlucky with your engine. All buggies will have to have their screws tightened after running them with any screws in plastic. All of the screws in metal should have blue loctite on them.

I just bought a mayhem st and its a pain in the %&& to Break in (I am also new to nitro so I am sure its me) But the guy at the lhs said they are hard to beak in.

So far I managed to

Idled it at two tanks.

Quarter throttle it for two tanks.

Half throttle it for 2 more tanks.

Then when I try to full throttle it the truck stalls after the half way point and got a temp of 350 so I shut it down right away I would guess its lean but if I richin the high speed needle it runs really rich and bogs when I gas it (its currently out 2 1/4) Can any one can help me out there Please

Thanks

P.s.. This truck rocks even though it don't run right yet

well first of all your not suposed to idle at at when breaking it in.. your suposed to drive it around to get the engine up to temperature that way the piston and sleeve get broken in.... you want the temp no more han 240!! theres no way your gun read 350.. your engine should be fried if soo.. ummm it should be broken in by now but i think you screwed it up by the way you broke it in... go to the lhs and see what they say [] hope this helps
