Hi there. i have a hyper 7 tq 28 and was wondering if any one has the part numbers for the 8 hex screws that hold the engine and engine mount to the chassi. I think theres the engine mount screws, then the engine spacer screws which bolt the whole thing to the chassi.
would be really gratefull thanks.

Heres my Hyper 7 TQ Black Edition. Its getting stripped down. To make it a race buggy. OS. 21 VZ-B Speed Tuned, carbon fiber shock towers and radio tray and center diff housing. Hitech Titanium gear servos, spectrum dx3 and jammin jp2, jp3, jp4 side pipes (depending on the track). Titanium hardware. And Proline crimefighters with LRP dish rims.

Hi guys....I just got myself a new Hyper 7 TQ "Black" and have a couple of questions that hopefully someone can answer for me.......

The LHS were I bought it from included a litre bottle of "Break in" fuel - it is 5% nitro and includes supacut additive? It says "Nitro-X - Extreme Racing Fuel on the label. I have been told by LHS to run the complete bottle through the motor to break it in completely.......This also has to be done to keep the warranty on the motor?? Has anyone every used this stuff as all my previous nitro trucks, cars etc have always been broken in with the fuel that I will be using after break in? No issues with any of them.

Does anyone know what the spec of the servo's are for the black edition? are they the same as the std TQ rtr?

All in all it looks a great buggy and I am really looking forward to getting it up and running and on the track........just want to make sure I don't screw up a new engine with this unfamilar fuel.................will post some pics of the buggy while it's still clean...lol

I would only break in the engine on the kinda of fuel you will be running in the engine. 5% doesnt seem like an especially great fuel to break in an engine. I would recommendr o'donnel 20% or byrons 20% they are both great fuels and provide excellent protection for the engine. I run byrons 20% and have never snapped a rod or had overheating issues.

Then I would use a known name brand fuel. like o'donnel or byrons. but remember whatever % nitro you break the engine in with use it the life of the engine.

Yeah I actually paid $350 for the engine. And my next upgrade is def the spektrum dx3s. Most of the upgrades arent that expensive. Just a few are gonna be more then the others. like the torsen center diff. the carbon fiber upgrades are not that expensive. the exhaust is gonna be $70 a piece need 3 different pipes. And then new rims and tires. I know for that much money I could have just bought a kyosho MP9 or something.

You don't have to use it the life of the engine, it just means that if you change the percent then you have to retune.

Well I didnt know that. I had a bad experience going to 30% nitro to 20% on my picco .28 p3 on my REVO The engine started running really sluggishly and didnt wanna go more then 25mph. The throttle would open full but would only get 1/2 power.

Thanks for the replies fellas...............going to grab some 20% Fuel today......I will go for a branded name and throw out that so called "Break-in" fuel.

Any recommendations on glow plug to suit hyper 21 3 port motor and 20% as I will grab a plug or two while I'm there?

Nice work guys...thanks again!

I would say. now mind you this is just my opinion I run OS LC3s I know OFNA says not too, but Im getting good run times, low temps and the plugs seem to last longer then other plugs ive tried. The only other plugs ive seen to work well are gonna be OC59's I forget who makes them.

Oh okay ive never gone down a percent i went from 16 to some 25 percent and the performance was better but i didn't retune so I may have knackered the engine. Next time I buy a gallon ill probably get some 20% O'donnel as thats going cheap. (For my Hper not the engine i knackered).

Yeah Odonnells is good and byrons is good. I had a traxxas 3.3 I used for bashing and I used cold fusion and its amazing.

Whats a cold fusion? Sorry.
But anyway are you using the stock radio on your hyper? Because my receiver broke recently it kept making the throttle jitter when the engine wasn't moving so i replaced it with a Hitec receiver and now it works fine.

First cold fusion is a new nitro fuel supposedly it keeps temps down dramatically even at lean conditions. And provides great lubrication that doesnt give you a brown stain on your body.
Second on my hyper 7 Im going spektrum dx3s and im gonna buy 3 spare receivers. 1 for my revo, 1 for my losi 8 and one for my xray.
with hitec 7955 titanium gear servos. with an 11.1v lipo pack.
