Hey mate could u tell me where did u got the led lights from and could you do more pictures of how to mount it because im planning to buy the leds for my rc car but not too sure what i need, and how to connect it would be nice if u could post it with some pictures of how it looks inside !

Ok.

I got the LED from eBay, the wire from a old car, and the resistors from my local electrical shop.

Before I painted my body I masked off the light area so it remained clear. Then I fitted yokomoto AE86 light buckets and painted the detail on the front indercator, read indercator and brake lights with Tamiya translucent orange and red.

The LED's just push into the lighbuckets, and I just used sticky tape to hold the wire to the body.

What u wll need
2x while LED's
2x red LED's
3x resistors to suit LED's
Length of duel core wire
Heat shrink
Small switch
Female servo connector and crimps
Light buckets
Unpainted car body
Masking tape
Doubble sided tape
Sho goo
Soldering iron
Solder
Servo wire crimping tool
Optional.... Black silicon

I have the hpi e10 mustang body drift car and I am new to this but I reading what is being posted about brushless and I was wondering what the difference is and what r thebenefits of using brushless and is it costly? I also saw a rc car with a battery that was like twice as thick and twice as high as the battery that came with my e10 does anyone know what kind of battery that might be ? I want to customize my e10 as much as possible even cosmetic of the chassis. Any help would be appreciated sorry if my novice lingo doesn't make sense.

Where can I get a custom cockpit brace? Or any type of braces for the e10 my local hobby shop doesn't have a lot of parts for the e10

@angus5 That cf chassis looks nice. It looks very similar to the one I made a while back, pics are on post #389. I have had lots of fun with it. It has proven to be very durable after many many parking lot bashing sessions. Shimmed rear diff has held up well to brushless power and 31mm rear tires. I'm very happy with the e-10 overall. Although it has taken considerable upgrading to to get to that point....

hows my old faithfull body has just about had it. the bumpares were so badly cracked ive just cut them off, and now im trying to make it look like a poor mans drift car. its very overdue for a replacement, when this thing wont stay on the car thats when ill get a new body

I've had my e10 drift for about two days....For a beginner in non toy grade r/c (you break you can fix/upgrade)its pretty good. However being non noobish to r/c what is with the ni-cad pack? does anybody use those anymore for anything but the radio? The only real thing I hated about the car is its seems slow(but I heard it has bushings not bearings). But with that said the weird/anoyance I had with the car is the way they mount the wheels..i dont really race and mainly bash,and I have a feeling the screws that hold the wheels in are going to snap,so do they have a way to upgrade to regular style hubs?. Also what are people running for brushless? I plan to run 5000mah nimh at first then go to lipo.

Has anyone figured out a way to use regular style hubs with the nuts and not whatever it came with? The first mod I did to mine is rip of the calipers due to the slop in the wheel hitting them and causing drag. I can see where people bash on this thing and say its junk,but for someone just getting into r/c touring/drift its pretty good. Its crazy durable,I've slid this thing into concrete walls at top speed and I've only popped the axle out once. The other problem is the drive shaft hits the chassis,battery,reciever at high rpm (9t brushed on stock speed controller until it melts). Maybe the drift tires could have some traction because you cant really stop, and when starting on a slope the car sits for a bit and spins in place.

hummmm... something might be a miss if the something is rubbing... i would recommend looking into that, i had painted discs and calipers and it never rubbed,,,

it might be worth looking into the HPI upgrade axles. that way when u screw on the wheel the screw is going into something thats metal not plastic.. and another good thing to get is some ballbearings for the drive line.
