Due to an incident some time ago, I'm replacing the fuselage on one of my Ultra Flash. I have received the new fuselage but noticed that there are no hold down nuts for the wing and stab. i have fabricated new "T" nuts and I'm getting ready to glue the nuts in place. The question i have is what is the best glue. The glue on the damaged fuselage does not look like any type of Hysol that I have seen. I'm looking for a glue recommendation, and appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,
Robert

10 years ago I had to do the same thing on my Classic Flash ..... I used a good sized glob of Hysol 9462 around the threaded adapters and they are doing fine :-) Just be sure to roughen/sand and then degrease (rubbing alcohol) the area you intend to glue to.

Does anyone happen to have a spare unmodified inlet joiner they aren't using that they'd like to sell?

After 9 years of flying with the UltraFlash with P160SX, I replaced the turbine with the brand new Kingtech K142G4.
I also modified the fuel system with the new EVO fuel tank.
What a great set-up! The UF weights only 9,4 kilo's (20.7 lbs) with a full UAT.
Airplane feels really light in the air and speed is almost the same compared with the P160SX.

Hi everyone, my ultra flash evo has bin ordered and i am very excited for it to arrive, should be here mid to late October because its getting shipped from Thailand here to America. I was wondering if anyone has used the stock UAT and if it worked good for them or should it be replaced by a real UAT? Please let me know and thank you.

Mine is 21lbs, with a swiwin 140. The key to getting that light is minimalistic equipment. I use a powersafe receiver that takes two batteries. I use one of them to also power my gear, and then a 3s 2600 mah lipo for my turbine. That's it. No friggin gyro or gps or any other electronic gear. And no smoke, no cockpit or pilot to pilot a jet that didn't exist in the real world. I have a pic of my equipment install a couple posts up.

I use Behotec retracts with Jet A1 legs and wheels. Servo’s are 8411 all around. No smoke, no cockpit, but I use all electronic goodies like GPS and CTU. Batt 2x 2S life 2000 for RX in the nose. 1x 3S life 3000 in Batt compartment for turbine. No ducting and removed intake and bypass due to new EVO tank. The new k142G4 is a very light set up.

Thats also really light! Well this certainly helps me to figure out how much mine will weigh. I'm guessing I'll be 2 or 3lbs heavier all said and done as I'll be using an older jetcat 120sx and will be putting a cockpit in. I'll be using a gyro, but its the spektrum AS3000 and I think it's less than 3g. Might be adding smoke too, but have not decided on that yet. Will be interesting to see where I end up. My classic flash is 26lbs dry and it flys great, but slow speed flying definitely suffers a little bit.

Thanks for posting those pics! That looks like a great setup. And wow that K142 is pretty light! Just looked at the specs

The new JetCat P-130 Rx is the same weight and tested 154N thrust!
Its the turbine of choice for Ultra Flash models now in the UK

Jetcat P-220 is 232N Jetcat P-300 is 308N, P-160Rxi-B is 169N. The Old P-120SX was actually over 130N...

My UF is just under 23lb with a P-160SX fuse and wing tank, so it’s possible. My Classic Flash is the instruction manual prototype and is something like 28lb! Still flies great though.
Great day today, it’s a projectile and climbs like a Saturn rocket...

Hello, even with the Xicoy brake controller mine just get near the end of the brake slider and then hit full brake.... I have heard that I should remove the magnets in the brake hub to fix this and I'd like to try it. How do I get the wheels/hubs off??

Thanks!

I am not in front of mine, but think that there must be a set screw in the strut you can loosen to remove the axle and wheel. Check for any burrs/rough edges on the metal disc also

Has anyone taken the magnets out to give more proportional braking? Not sure where to go from this step....
