Errr no :-) if I built one I’d fit an old fashioned P-60. My friend Paul has a Swiss Joker with a near 50 hour P-60SE and it’s a great combo.

no. Seen plenty of successful k80 flights to not be concerned. Also crow mix usually requires thrust just to stay aloft. I also have a 2.2m predator that had been known to fly on a 100N, that I have a 170n turbine in that has been a complete non issue for me. Of course, this jet will be more over powered than my predator(and I look forward to it! I'm not into turbines just to say I'm into turbines - I like the ridiculous speed n power! ).

Officially PISSED!
So, the included controller for the gear EASILY allowed me to plug the battery in reverse polarity, INSTANTLY smoking the controller. ***!!! Sure, just don't plug it in backwards, but the connector had no problem allowing me to do so. Pretty stupid design F**K!

Is there a place in the USA that stocks these POS JP gear controllers? Or can anyone recommend a US stocked controller that works, AND ALSO HAS DIFFERENTIAL BRAKE CONTROL???

it also requires a regulator for 2s lipo, so not an option.

hmm. Reading the manual, I'm not seeing a regulated voltage requirement, so I ordered it. Just hope it gets here before next weekend. That JP controller can kiss my *****.

It doesn’t require a regulator, but your gear might.

Crap. You're right. I think. This is ridiculous! Now I have to cxl that order. I am still dumbfounded that the connector connected with reverse polarity so easily.

It’s probably, if not the best controller, one of the best controllers on the market. I definitely wouldn’t spend more money on a JP controller. You might consider running the regulator, the current requirements of the gear are really low, you can use a smaller reg. I have the same problem with the gear on my plane, JP gear, sucky JP controller, want to run the Xicoy, need the reg..

Print clearly shows voltage range

Battery connector is polarized
Bodyworks im not using my JP controller.

i have only used 2S lipos on my JP gear with zero issues. I have many flights over the last two years on one model and around 40 flights on another.

Just received an email from Electron Retracts.

They are getting ready to release a set of ER30's for the CompARF version of the Rebel Hot. Previously they did offer a set for the (original) Pirotti version, but CARF changed the design (presumably to accommodate the JP gear)
The new Electron struts will be 'adjustable', so I'm guessing that means you'll be able to perfectly center the wheel in the well. This sounds like a great option for this plane.

I ha e a Kingtech 85g2 in my Hot. Ying off pavement. The idle thrust produces way too much forward motion to safely taxi out. Landing requires a longer approach and I've added crow. I've reduced the top end rpm as it was cruising at about 1/4 throttle.. Way over powered. This isn't a Bandit. I'm interested in dialing down the idle speed but hear this produces issues of slow acceleration and flaming out. I'm very surprised to see so many others flying with an 85 when the jet weight wet is only 16 lbs.

Bodywerks is using the JP controller that came with the ARF-plus kit that I just received, the model ER-120 v1. Sure, there's a little bump in the socket to 'polarize it, but I was easily able to connect it reversed polarity.

Rear pipe support inside original former

Lots of open space

85 grams

Shortened tank

In getting close to finishing mine up so I thought I would add a few pics. I modified the stock and reduced it from 60oz to 40oz.
I used the original forward tank mount for my radio board. And then added a tab on each side to secure the front of the radio board.
I put an incidence meter on the wing and used A bubble balance to make sure the radio board was that 000 for the Gyro. I made up a 2 ounce UAT Using the felt filter clunk and a Dubro tank. Hopefully I can finish the install over the long holiday weekend ahead.

I was pretty pissed last night. After contacting Dirk to cancel the xicoy order and explaining why, he informed me that, contrary to statements in another thread here, the JP controllers also DO NOT regulate voltage out, only current. So I do indeed have the xicoy controller en-route.

in my case, and preferring swiwin turbines, it didn't make sense to run a 60 when the 85 is the same size and actually lighter than the 60, and for my flying style a 45 simply isn't enough.
Idle thrust is different for every brand of turbine, so hopefully the swiwin is less than your kingtech.
16lbs take off means just a couple pounds over 1:1 thrust. IMO 1:1 is perfect, so this is only slightly 'overperfect', lol.

mine are the jp gear that came with the jet, as well as the jp controller that came with it. As Bob pointed out, it accepts 7.4-8.4 volts, and as Dirk at pacificrcjets stated, the jp controller doesn't regulate the voltage, so I should be good. Not sure if I'm going to use the gyro part yet, as I do intend to run the AS3000 gyro on my AR12310T eventually.

I bought the LGC 13, the Cortex Pro provides stability to the NWS function.

Overall length of nose gear from end of actuator to axle of wheel is around 8-7/8", hinge point top axle is 7"

Fuel system installed. Just gotta plumb it to the main tank. Had to darn near stuff the turbine into the bell to get the exhaust spacing correct. Cg is going to be a slight challenge I think.

Be interested to hear your final weight, lots of heavy looking stuff there.
