thanks
Ball link is fine. But CARF make a suitable arm for the clevis pin.

Looks like no problem, thanks

Rudder throws for good KE?

I am kinda getting max throw of 60mm on one side and 53mm on the other side,
unless i open up the hole further on the other side due to linkage geometry, the servo arm along with clevis is slightly going inside the opening at max throw.

What max throws are recommended for Rudder to hold a good KE? I know it depends on lot of things like speed, cg etc.

Shouldnt need that much to hold KE
You may be experiencing blow back on the servo - may need a servo with a bit more grunt

ok thanks,
if i need more throws ill have to go with a different servo arm which is not an option.
After some fiddling i was able to get 50mm rudder throws on each side.

The manual only says max throws, hence.

What size batteries are commonly being used in setups?

for a K160G4 2100 life or 2700?
Also 1500mah x 2 receiver packs or larger capacity?

Question is from cg point of view and overall optimal balanced setup

Hi ,

I recently have an 2nd hand Ultra Flash with bypass non EVO with a P-140RX brand new. Dave Wilshere can you give me the descent rates , correct CG and the airplane configuration to do the CG correctly. I would have a jet with a gentle speed on landing. For the stuff i replace all the old Graupner DES707MG by Savox HV servos SV1254MG+ and SV1270MG+ for flaps and rudder with powerbox pioneer and igyro sat II with 2 R6203SB. I left old behotec C36/2 with airtech legs and intairco wheels with jet tronics valves . There a benefit in weight if i put electric landing gears JP ou electron or i can keep my current setup ?

I put some pics soon

thanks a lot

What style of flying? There is lots of info in the thread.

All UF balance is best 230-235mm back with landing fuel

Finally
my ultra flew after 4 and a half years of not flying jets it flew better than i had hoped
fly's soooo nice and so smooth
the landing so preidictable
the adviced macgregor servo's are perfect.
if you never have used macregor servo's
Try them they are smooth

OK, I think perfection is 235mm with the little bit of fuel.

Hello,
I also ordered an ultra flash in the grey orange colour. A kingtech 140 g5 is coming in.
Only the servos, which are the best options.

We fly with 11KG torque JR servos with 160/180 JetCat’s and the designed servo loads are low.
servo quality is the biggest thing

You can not go wrong with the macgregor servo's super smooth and precise
and 28kg macgregor's is more the enough

And the kst servo's as you mention is i little bit wider so be prepared for some sanding on the servo frame's
20mm servo's are perfect fit
and in the stab you wil get in trouble
As the kst is longer en are mounted on alu L brackets you wil have to modyfy them
don't make it hard on yourself
because i'm also dutch and i know dutch are eigenwijs

Check, I bought the servo set.
And I canceled the pipe and tank.
The pipe is from Grumania and the tank is from CM Jets.
