ORIGINAL: digitech

i am not sure how you count
but ours are 499 usd
i think you are adding the local taxes wich are 19%
our shipping is 35 euro,s worldwide.
we have trailing oleo,s on all our sets....

According to your website, the retracts are 399 euros, nothing stated about local taxes,

http://shop.digitech-turbines.com/pr...t4olb2qaeaccf6

Plug that figure into XE converter and out comes:

$592.914 USD,

And still not sure if that comes with any valves, airtanks etc... if it does, then that's a pretty good price.

Thanks

dave
on there web site it says this:

Pro-Lynx Falcon 120 Complete set [PL-Falcon 120] €399.00

Falcon 120 DROP in Set

This complete set from Pro-lynx has been designed from the ground up.

this small and very light set has come out of a few years experiance we had with designing this gears.

the final part is this with heavy duty brakes , tyres , wheels , and the proven trailing oleo,s in the front and mains.

Standard the set comes with:

Front gear and Main Gear

wheels and brakes

"De Luxe"option contains :

set of electronic valves instead of the Manual valves

incl electrnic brake valve!

the electronic valves are simple on/off sort

no programming needed!

So im sure if you want every thing it's going to cost more then 399.

The clue is under DeLuxe set:

''De Luxe''option contains :

set of electronic valves instead of the Manual valves

The standard set comes with manual valves and the deluxe set comes with electronic valves.

Dom, the retracts are Robart RS550, which are air up/down. The main wheels and brakes are Trim 70mm and nose is 60mm. They cost about $195 complete with proportional brake valve and all fittings. They work really well. I would not use any thing other than trailing link type oleos on this model, because of the design of the wing, even after reinforcing.

I wouldn't be so sure Baldeagel.... Digitech were advertising their retracts here on RCU for $475 without any valves etc less than a month ago. when he PM'd me about them and i asked the the question and the difference between their offering and Dreamworks here is part of the response i received.

"Ours is 475 usd without airset (everyone wants to do their own idea) To be honnest the original airset that Comes from airpower is not all that good.
I recommend you go electronic. "

Fair enough, but his current offerings are a really good deal if he has dropped his price by $75 and is now offering the airset with it as well. I have asked a few times on my other posts if it included the valves but so far no response.

Thanks

dave

Sandor

Please put this to bed, does your trailing link UC for $400 come with an air set?

dave

that is correct , but was including shipping worldwide.
as for your second and third emails , i get over 100 emails a day , the ones in my mailbox (exchange) get priority.
if there is time left i check the ones on rcuniverse , sometimes i do not .
sorry this is the way it is.

let clear this mess up

the normal set sold by the competition is 475,-usd these have the "hydraulic"strait bubblegum allumium oleo,s. but WITH manual airset .

we sell the set including TRAILING oleo,s for 399 usd without airset.(you get lifetime warranty on the oleo,s)

my "competition"sell the set with trailing oleo,s for 599 usd this is with a manual airset!

i sell the same combo but WITH all electronic valves and electronic gauges for 599,-us.
i hope it clears it up

now here is the thing :

all these prices including the us one,s have NO vat included , this means if you live inside europe you HAVE to pay your local tax when it enters your country.
in real life this means i as a seller i have to take that 19% on top of that price to sell it within europe.
if you live outside europe there is no need to pay taxes here , BUT i am sure you will need to pay on your end as soon as it enters your country.
now all the prices you see on my webpage are INCLUDING local tax , so if you are from outer space or anywhere EXEPT in europe there is no need to pay me any taxes.
and deduct these from the total price.

shipping worldwide is 35 euro,s

i hope there is a end to it all , if you dont want to spend on a A1 quality sett wich has been sold by the thousands ,then go for that standard chinese crap steel set that comes with it.

Sandor out.

Thanks for the sites but nobody but Troybuilt has a 20mm diameter wingtube. Problem is that one is too short.

I was trying not to have to hog out all the holes in the plane but now I will have too. I have a 23mm wingtube socket from my pattern plane and Aeroworks sells a 23mm wingtube so I guess i'm tearing old crap out.

BTW I used Citri Strip today and stripped the whole fuse down. Tomorrow I'll sand and prime it. Then I'll probably start glassing the surfaces that don't require any mods.

You may be able to get away with going smaller, say a 19mm tube wraped in one layer of fibreglass tape, as long as the tube is substantial enough, I have doen this before on a 2.5M IMAC ship and it worked very well, the new tube although smaller was much thicker, as long as what you wrap the tube with is not compresable it should be OK.

Still no luck finding the right diamter wingtube. I couldn't even find a wooden dowl locally that would fit the inside of the stock tube.
You won't find one here. A 3/4" dowel is too big and a 5/8" dowel is too small. I don't think it's worth the trouble to change out the wing tube unless you plan on doing a lot of high G turns.

If you have a friend in Canada have him send you a 17 mm. wood dowel. It will fit perfectly inside the stock aluminum tube.

Yep, you sure did enlarge it.

I'm just going to go with the 23mm tube. I have half of what I need and its only $25 for the remainder from Aeroworks. I'll just pull up some of the skin on the wing......its only time.

And you never know.......I like High G turns and the stock tube is crap.

The alternative is to find a carbon rod that fits near enough into the standard tube work out the volume of the existing and new fill with the appropriate amount of epoxy and push the rod inside, even if you do have some voids, it will still be a lot stronger than the original, lots of different ways of doing this, gravity, etc I am sure others can think of some different ones.

Granted the tube is not the best, however if you're going to be flying it that way the wings and booms are likely to fail before the tube.

I'm more worried about the tube bending at the joint where the wing meets the fuse. I've seen cheap chinese tubes do this very easily.

I'll post some pics of the mod.
