""One side note.. I've read people's experiences with BV and I can't help but wonder if the bad experiences haven't been somewhat self-inflicted. I've known Bob for many many years and always had nothing but great interaction with the guy, even when he knew I wasn't spending any money on his products at the time.

Now this is quite comical, heres UB first impression on a couple hundered potential modelers, in which he inflammed less than a year ago.

I still don"t understand people in this thread still talking bad about BV or BVM. He sells a product, if you like it and can afford it, then buy it, if you don"t or can not afford it, than don"t bad mouth him, BVM still has the best jets around, and his involvement with Skymaster is only business, put yourself in his shoes, you would do the same to keep business going in a tough economy. Skymaster USA is no differant, thou I feel bad for the previous dealers, they too had to make a change to keep the doors open, or you would have to wire your money to China and hope for the best, or if you need a part, call or email China for that part, how long would you have to wait, and then dealing with Customs, have any of you been to customs, I have when I bought my first Airworld Jet 7 years ago, not only did it take 6 weeks to know they received my money, but another 3 weeks to get my jet. Then customs held me there for several hours questioning me about a jet that was shipped from Germany. Business is cut throat, but its the way to survive sometimes, and its the business way, it happens in a great economy, maybe worse. Just be happy we have 2 great company"s trying to bring us quality kits, parts, and service. Joe C!!

hey guys i have been dealing with tony from jet aces 8 in the purchase of almost done skymaster f16 i cant say enough of how happy i am with the way tony has treated me. being in florida would make me want to deal with someone closer but thats not the case when it comes to service. if skymaster wants to use bvm as a dealer good for bvm and skymaster. but dont limit or tell the customer you have to deal with your closest dealer , that is the customers choice no matter how you slice it convienience is one thing , but not a mandate to buy from them parts or service. i hope all in all skymaster realizes that they are going about it wrong let the customer choose not skymaster.

GEEEEEZ- Another one post wonder- You guys just refuse to get it. Skymaster can choose whomever they wish to sell to as resalers at a discounted price. Period- They have chosen BVM and RCI. If anyone else wishes to resell their products they are perfectly willing to sell to them at retail and then they can resell it at whatever price they want.
Its skymasters toybox and toys-they get to decide who gets to resell thier toys.
Its the just same as with GM and Ford (back when they were actually selling cars). The automakers get to decide who gets to resell thier products. They pulled dealers agreement to resell all the time- and they had contracts.
I get it -alot of you guys are upset because you cant finance your hobby by reselling a few skymaster jets-I understand. It probably could have been handled a bit better. You are pissed. I probably would be too-but as they said in the movie "It's over Johnny". Scotty

I agree with you - I had similar experience w/BV when I first got into jets. I called to order one of his jets and he asked me if I had flown jets before. I responded yes, Byron. He told me to call back when I had experienced flying a real DF jet and not a byron!!! he then hung the phone. (arrogant).

any way times have changed. I have multiple SM jets. Each one that I purchased I got first class service from Anton including a nice discount. I recently tried to purchase an F86 and the US rep refuses to provide a discount. So what happened to taking care of the good customers? What I am even more confused about is how other SM distributors offer discounts in other countries and the US dealers dont? what is so different about purchasing RC Jets in the States that we dont deserve a discount? I am puzzled by how this whole customer care is going to be. I am not sure if I will continue to purchase SM unless customer care changes a bit back to the way it was. Remember that they need us and their product is not going to gain value by sitting on shelves somewhere in the main land. This whole thing, to me, is creating a great opportunity for the SM comeptitors in China. If they are smart enough - they can take advantage of the situation and increase their market share.

I'll never understand why people think they are entitled to a "discount".

Nothing more annoying than stiring up an old thread.[&:]

I really don't know why this post keeps going. Business is business, the deal between them
is done, and that's it,,, period. If you don't want to deal with BV because of his arrogance,
then deal with Patty, she excellent treating with customers.

Yep Jason "Wolf" Fletcher has alot to do with how it came out. His put together more bandits than anyone else in the uk so it made my life easy

ahh i get the confusion now G, it's the young talk of Frosty that's confused you. "Tighter" means better/fitter etc etc
