Rudder is being done, there is going 5 Robart pinhinges in instead of the flimsy 3 that follows the kit, I had to make some hardpoints for the two extra hinges. Used some sponge inside the rudder, and poured some glue in there

Going back a few messages about the aft brace on the canopy. Rather than remove it all togther and then installing a new brace or adjustable system as discribed in an earlier post, I simply cut out the front portion of it and left the rear most piece in. Once sanded and painted it will look just fine. No more building or weight. It will keep the canopy in shape as well. It fit nicely behind the headrest of the rear seat.

I'm all balanced. P-160 has been test run. All that remains is final setup on the radio and off we go. Still busy with shows and work, but I hope to have 1st flights by the end of October.

Hello,

Are the seats included with cockpit? Negatively can anyone advise where they are from?

Thanks.

Then you will strain your patience trying to fit the cockpits to the model. It requires some surgery.

OMG!

Just received the new P200SX for the Viper, I thought a P160SX was pretty big, no more
The carbon parts below the engines, is the new set from Digitech, 14 carbon horns, and 2 reinforcement plates for the main gears, all in 2.5 mm carbon, super quality !

Carsten mail me the 160 and I'll find a good home for it. Can't imagine it likes being the small one!

Don't worry Sverrir, the 160 is not alone here

Mounted the horns in the rudder, there was no wood inside, so had to use the sponge again

Are you saturating the sponge with glue to replace the hardpoints or to contain the glue which holds the horns?

I like the sponge idea, good one!
A lot neater/easier than cutting open and inserting hard blocks!

Hmm, I know, Sandor has some more But I told myself I won't order until I have had my viper in my hands, and 'feel' the need for the big engine myself..

(who am I kidding, you always need more power )

Sverrir,
nope, the sponge is just there to contain the area, then glue is poured in to fill the void. The horns are then inserted into the glue (and the excess wiped off )
Actually, it was something I learned from a good friend here, John, he is an "old rat" when it comes to building, and I'm just a n00b (but I'm good at copying what others do )

Hans,
you know deep in your heart that you need the P200SX, don't resists [>:]

Noted.

Maybe Sandor can add sponges to the carbon kit for the Viperjet!

Hi Carsten!
The 160 really looks tiny besides the 200. But one thing goes in the 160's favor, and that is the shiny SS casing. Wonder why they they did not make the same type of casing on P200?? It would have looked SO MUCH better...[&:] I also have one 200X coming. Guessing that I'll get it next week.

By the way. Your Viper will be seriously overpowered with the 200. I'd be somewhat carefull on going flat out if I vere you...[8D]
I have flow the Viper vith a Beohtec 180, and I thought that one was very overpowered.
I think a 120 would give it scale performance and a 160 would be a great choice for it...

Hi Ståle,
Yes, you are right, I like the shining turbines better also
I know about the Viper and the power, I would never run that flat out, also I will be limiting the P200 output some Kg's. The primary reason for the 200 was mostly that I have none so far (a number of 160SX/SE and 60SE etc) and I simply had to have my hands on one after I saw it at JetPower
Then again, I have a P160SX in a Boomerang Elan, but that one is also limited (to 13 Kg), it's always nice to have some spare power [8D]
