Hello Guys,
Thanks for your input, Another question is where do you run your Air lines from wing into the Fuselage. My servo leads are OK , but the Air lines look like they should be run forward near the gear.
Thanks

John

What is exactly your problem with the canopy and cockpit?
You have to trim the cockpit to make it fit.

Hello,
Do you glue the cockpit to the canopy ? . My rear seating position is hitting the Fuel tank . I can see the rear seat gluing into the canopy , but the front seat looks like it should stay in the Fuse ???
Thanks

John

Where did you place the fuel tank?
Can you post some pictures?

Hello,
My fuel tank is forward x 1 cm . I am using the Bob Violet method and it is working slowly. I rotated the tank for better feed but did not test the Cockpit before gluing the tank in. I will make it fit but it is a slow process.
Regards

John

Mine are both glued to the canopy but to fit you have to cut the back of the tub behind the seat to clear the tank did this on both of my hawks works great

I fixed the front one inside the fuselage and the rear one I glued it inside of canopy. It also works great that way!

Hi friends,
I'm starting to build my dream the Hawk T1 4¾ scale in 2010 scheme.

The first view is - she is Great!
But I have a question- does anyone build for their Hawk vortex generators? If yes, are they work or just goode scale view?
I'm asking just because worry about not to have OFF elevator when deploying the flaps to landing position.
The second question- l'm planing to install the Kingtech K-140G, will it be enough? Any comments please.
Thank's
Kind regards,
Sergey

Hi Sergey,

vortex generators on the top surface of the outboard wing? I have not put them on mine. If you are worried about elevator response on landing here are my suggestions based on my smaller hawk and what I have observed the best in the hobby do....

1. Avoid a nose heavy setup
2. Limit landing flap to no more than 30-40 degrees
3. Mix in some crow for full flap deployment....this improves stall resistance and will pitch the nose up so you will rely less on elevator trim
4. Don't get her too slow.

Sergey,

I have a Jetcat 140RX in mine and can confirm it has plenty of power but not unlimited vertical.

If you keep the CG within sensible limits there is no problem with elevator response or tip stalling. My CG is such that with tanks empty if you lift the nose the model will sit down on its tail.

Flap throw is around 40 degrees.

Thank's Malcolm,
I also thinking to set CG more rear, 205-210mm.
Do you use the mix flaps-elevator (landing position)?
What about engin bypas (on my UltraFlash I did'nt use)? If not to use, will it be affect the gear doors due to hi air pressure insight fuselage ?

Kind regards,
Sergey

Sergei,
On my 18MZ I assign the flap switch to set flight conditions and separate the trims for each condition. Then all you do is fly and re- trim at each flap setting and the mixing is set automatically. If you slow down the flap servos you can slow down the trim change with each condition so no zooming when flaps go down.

I used the full bypass and still had problems with the main gear doors not wanting to close. I finally replaced them with Ultra Precision larger ones.

Malcolm,
Thank's to remind about trim separate, on my MZ-24 it's also possible.
Would you please to give me a link for Ultra Precigion...?
Also I think about to change the door cilinders to electrics like this one http://www.lado-tech.net/en/e-doors/...door-30mm.html or to do mechanical with Futaba S3170G Digital Retract Servo w/Planetary Gear
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXUZF2&P=ML
(friend of mine did install on his CARF Hawk 1:3,75 scale, working perfect).

Kind regards,
Sergey

Thank you Malcolm.
I did read at this treat the first version of Hawk been aquiped by thin (low power) door cylinders, later SM did change to high volume (high power) cylinders. After this update the problem with doors stil go on?

Regards,
Sergey

Sergey,

I'm currently away from home on business so can't tell you the diameter of the Skymaster cylinders which were fitted to my model until I get home the middle of next week.

Here is my solution in place of the tank near the CG and more space for the cabin
