Large Skymaster Hawk build
#626
Does anyone know of any website that will make the antennas/ vortex generators/ for this hawk as well as a light kit for it?
Also wondering if anyone found any decals for the LG to give it a more scale look to it.

At posts #609, #613 you can find idea how to do antennas, at final the weight for one not more then 3gr. By these technologies I'm going to create wortex generator for my Hawk.
About decals- I did order all technical signs from Tailormadedecals.com (I order WhaterSlide decals).
After aplaying just cover by clear glaze.
Here is placard for color number for gears.
Kind regards,
Sergey

Great! Thanks for the info. I just placed an order for this hawk in the desert camo scheme.
PS. I did read post 609 and 613. I don't have building scales like you
so I was hoping to see if someone may of found a place that will sell these accessories.

The helmet came out great!!
I noticed the same thing that the hawk 1:3,5 has them along with the vortex generators. Skymaster was also emailed to see if they might be able to provide them. Worst case scenario, I'll try to see if it can be 3D printed.
Btw, who they you order your pilots from for your hawk?

Hi Andre,
the pilot is SM production

But in stock he is wery heavy about 550gr and looks very simple, so I decide to do more light and looks more individual. I rebuild body used aluminum wire and rubber foam and repaint helmet, now he has weight 170gr, next will add parachute system straps.
Kind regards,
Sergey

Hi Andre,
I agree with "dubd" 1/5 pilot will looks too smal, 12" in 1/5 scale is just 150sm height - too young pilot ore dwarf
But there is some small problem with 1/4,5 pilot (7" - roughly 180sm height) to seat him in cocpit not enough space for shoes (under desk).....There two ways: cut and rebuild cocpit ore put pilot without shoes...I will follow the second way.
Kind regards,
Sergey

Hello Sportflya,
You don't need any elevator mix on this plane for the maiden flight.
I don't have any.
There is a slight down pitch variation when lowering the landing gear due to the under CG drag, but you can manage on the sticks.

My Feedback: (5)
So FINALLY my Hawk is in the US. I am going to pick it up on Tuesday in Irvine, CA. Just curious if anyone has a comprehensive list of the modifications/upgrades needed on the current version? It seems there still may be a door cylinder issue. Does anyone know what the most recent cylinder size is that's having issues?
Also I am looking at the BVM success packs. Is the Pack 1 worth it? I assume the manual from BVM is quite a bit better.
Any other recommendations before I get cranking on it?
Thanks!
